Description[]
Sonic and the Secret Rings VS Sonic and the Black Knight. Two enduring and manipulative antagonists of the Sonic Storybook series come here to clash in the story that is Death Battle. Will Alf make the Dark Queen wish she were never born? Will he be the only thing in her kingdom that isn't everlasting? Stay tuned!
Interlude[]

Technus: Sonic the hedgehog has battled a massive variety of enemies.
Vulkanus: Killer Robots, water gods, giant lizards, psychics. You name it.
Technus: But these two are one of the few villains that can really come up with a good story.
Vulkanus: Like Alf Layla wa-Layla, the master of the Arabian Knights.
Technus: And the Dark Queen, the corrupted Queen of Camelot. I'm Technus and He's Vulkanus and it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a death battle.
Alf Layla wa-Layla[]
(*Cues: How It Started - Sonic and the Secret Rings*)
Technus: Long ago, the Erazor Djinn caused terror upon the world of the Arabian Nights before he was neutralized.
Vulkanus: His punishment? He was sealed in a magic lamp and couldn't come out until he granted the wishes of 1,000 people, including Aladdin himself.
Technus: When the Erazor was free, he decided to take revenge by twisting the words of the Arabian Nights so that he could take control and eventually, enter Sonic's world.
Vulkanus: These two got off on the wrong foot. Proof? Ok. When the two first meet, Erazor goes to try and kill Sonic.
Technus: Afterwards, he asked Shahra, the Genie of the Ring, if she had the seven World Rings.
Vulkanus: See, the seven World Rings are like the Chaos Emeralds. They bind together the World of the Arabian Nights.
Technus: When she said no, he decided to punish her by firing the Flame of Judgement at her, but Sonic got in the way and was cursed by it.
Vulkanus: If Sonic didn't get all the World Rings, his life was forfeit. Once Sonic and Shahra did get the rings, the Erazor revealed something else.
Technus: In order for the Erazor to use the power of the seven World Rings, the collector's life had to be sacrificed.
Vulkanus: Erazor decided to offer up Sonic's life at first, but Shahra blocked the blade and died.
Technus: After her death, the Erazor used the power of the Seven World Rings and became Alf Layla wa-Layla.
(*Cues: Let the Speed Mend It - Sonic and the Secret Rings*)
Vulkanus: In this form, the Erazor's magical powers become far more powerful, giving him new attacks.
Technus: With the Darkness Slash, Alf slashes at the opponent with his tail and while following a delayed reaction, a flaming trail appears where Alf slashed.
Vulkanus: His Darkness Spark is a barrage of purple orbs that move so fast that Darkspine Sonic, a form faster than Sonic, needs Time Break, a time-slowing move, to dodge.
Technus: But Alf Layla wa-Layla's strongest attack is undoubtedly his Spirit Blast where he gathers the words of the Arabian Nights into a giant ball of spiritual energy to throw at his opponent.
Vulkanus: But despite Alf's power, he is not unstoppable. Enough force can make Alf's skin reveal his heart which is his most vulnerable spot. Enough damage to that can cause serious, but not fatal, damage.
Technus: But when Alf Layla wa-Layla wishes to create something in his own image, make sure you've got at least three World Rings.
Alf Layla wa-Laya: I am the Arabian Nights. I will be its new creator. I will remake this world and this reality in my own image!
Dark Queen[]
(*Cues: Merlina: Queen of the Underworld - Sonic and the Black Knight*)
Technus: Merlina the Wizard is the granddaughter of Merlin who followed in his footsteps and became the Royal Wizard of Camelot where she served the Royal Court.
Vulkanus: Some time after that, Merlina discovered the future fate of the kingdom and it was that ruin and warfare awaited it.
Technus: Merlina decided that the only way to prevent this was to make her kindgom eternal.
Vulkanus: But she alone couldn't do it. She needed the scabbard of Excalibur.
Technus: Unfortunately, it was in the possession of Kind Arthur, who was corrupted by its dark power.
Vulkanus: Merlina knew she couldn't take him on alone, so she summoned Sonic the Hedgehog from another world to help her stop him.
Technus: Once they managed to subdue King Arthur, Merlina got her hands on Excalibur and revealed to Sonic that she wanted his help so that she could use the scabbard's power to make her kingdom eternal.
Vulkanus: And with the power of the scabbard of Excalibur, she underwent the transformation and became the Dark Queen.
(*Cues: Knight of the Wind - Sonic and the Black Knight*)
Technus: The Dark Queen is extremely skilled. She possesses exceptional swordsmanship skills, being able to effectively wield two Deathcalibur-like swords in battle against Excailbur Sonic, who in his base form, was able to defeat the Knights of the Round Table.
Vulkanus: She can also fire balls of energy, put up forcefields, and teleport objects.
Technus: She's super strong, able to beat back opponents like Sonic to the point that he's at an inch of his life, which, to be fair, is something that not even characters like the Ifrit can do.
Vulkanus: She's also super fast, able to keep track of Sonic's movements and react to them with no issue at all and she's even durable enough to withstand attacks from Excalibur.
Technus: But not even someone with the scabbard of Excalibur is unstoppable, despite her immense power, she can still be neutralized and her forcefields and defenses can be broken with enough force.
Vulkanus: But despite her faliures, the Dark Queen is definitely one of the few females besides Blaze who can match and sometimes even surpass the Blue Blur.
Dark Queen: The King Arthur my grandfather Merlin created led to nothing but mistakes, but I can succeed with the power of the scabbard, creating a kingdom that never ends.
Pre-Death Battle[]
Technus: Alright. The combatants are set. Let's end this debate once and for all!
Vulkanus: It's time for a DEATH BATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Death Battle[]
(*Cues: Poison Spear - Sonic and the Secret Rings*)
The Erazor Djinn was waiting in his palace. An innocent girl had come in with all of the Seven World Rings.
Erazor Djinn: Have you brought me all the Seven World Rings?
Innocent Girl: Yes. Now what's my prize? You promised!
Erazor Djinn: Yes. Yes. Here's your prize. The relief of death.
The Erazor threw his blade at the girl, causing her to fall and ending her life. Meanwhile, Merlina planned to use the scabbard of Excalibur to try and bring back her grandfather, Merlin, and became the Dark Queen.
Dark Queen: Now with this power, I can bring my grandfather Merlin back to life.
Erazor Djinn used the Seven World Rings and transformed into Alf Layla wa-Layla.
Alf Layla wa-Layla: Yes! With this power, I shall recreate the World of the Arabian Nights! And this time, that blue rat cannot stop me!
Dark Queen and Alf Layla wa-Layla: Wait! I sense a disturbance somewhere in another realm!
Both combatants merged their worlds together and met each other.
Alf Layla wa-Layla: I am Alf Layla wa-Layla, soon-to-be ruler of the Arabian Nights. Who are you?
Dark Queen: I am the Dark Queen. I possess unimaginable magical power.
Alf Layla wa-Layla: Foolish girl! I possess powerful magic!
Dark Queen: Let's put that to the test, then.
The Dark Queen turned into a spectral and demonic form of King Arthur and got ready to engage the corrupted djinn.
Fight!
(*Cues: With Me - Sonic and the Black Knight*)
The Dark Queen started slamming her swords on Alf Layla wa-Layla's chest, but nothing happened.
Alf Layla wa-Layla: Hahahahaha! You cannot defeat me!
Alf Layla wa-Layla used his Darkness Slash and struck the Dark Queen numerous times. She fired balls of energy at Alf, but they exploded on him and he showed no signs of any detrimental effects. Alf Layla wa-Layla then fired his Darkness Spark. She tried to parry most of them, but some of them ended up hitting her. Alf Layla wa-Layla fired his Darkness Spark again, only for them to be stopped by the Dark Queen's invisible barrier.
The barrier broke, however, leaving her vulnerable to Alf's Darkness Slash attacks.
Dark Queen: If I watch where he slashes, I can parry it.
Alf Layla wa-Layla used his Darkness Slash, but this time the Dark Queen managed to parry all of his slashes. He then started to conjure up words and then fired the Spirit Blast. The Spirit Blast managed to break through the Dark Queen's barrier. She tried to deflect it and hit it as hard as she could.
Alf Layla wa-Layla seized the opportunity and fired the Darkness Spark and then used his Darkness Slash and exploded both the Darkness Spark and the Spirit Blast, knocking back the Dark Queen.
(*Cues: Seven Rings in Hand - Sonic and the Secret Rings*)
Alf Layla wa-Layla fired another Spirit Blast at the Dark Queen, but she teleported it to hit Alf Layla wa-Layla, knocking him back. She then noticed his vulnerable heart and started slashing it before doing a cross slash and blowing him back. Alf's skin covered up his heart again. He fired Darkness Spark at her again, but she teleported them back at him, but this time he fired a Spirit Blast to destroy them.
She teleported the Spirit Blast back, but Alf conjured up and fired another Spirit Blast just in time. Both orbs collided, but Alf Layla wa-Layla used two Darkness Slashes and pushed them both back towards the Dark Queen. She parried them just in time, but couldn't deflect them. Alf Layla wa-Layla used the Darkness Slash and overpowered her, causing her to be hit by both Spirit Blasts, completely obliterating her.

Vulkanus: I think Darkspine Sonic is needed again.
Technus: Both wielders of magic were powerful in moreways than one, but the Dark Queen didn't have what it took to defeat the corrupted djinn.
Vulkanus: The only way that the Dark Queen could harm Alf was by hitting his heart, but to expose his heart would require a lot of force that the Dark Queen herself just can't produce.
Technus: The Dark Queen may be able to create the Storybook Camelot Reality that had a star, but just by transforming, Alf Layla wa-Layla was able to destroy an entire universe.
Vulkanus: The Dark Queen also lacked any ways of countering Alf Layla wa-Layla's attacks efficiently.
Technus: If Darkspine Sonic, a form much faster than Sonic requires Time Break, a move that slows down time, to dodge moves like the Darkness Spark, then the Dark Queen would definitely struggle as well.
Vulkanus: While she could definitely parry most of them, she would still end up missing a few others.
Technus: And since the Dark Queen's barriers are of her own power, this means Alf Layla wa-Layla would be more than capable of breaking them.
Vulkanus: And so, with the Dark Queen destroyed, Alf Layla wa-Layla lived happily ever after.
Technus: The winner is Alf Layla wa-Layla.
