Boomstick: Now apply that too the people you know and love. You have no idea who's who! Is that your best friend, or just an imposter, well that's what these two can do!
Wiz: Alex Mercer, the black light virus incarnate from Prototype!
Boomstick: And The shapeshifting cosmic horror monster The Thing!
Boomstick: He's wiz and I'm boomstick
Wiz: and it's our job to analyze there weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a death battle!
Alex Mercer[]
Wiz: In the year 2009 New York City would be under siege from the blacklight virus
Boomstick: and one man was on a mission to get to the bottom of this, Alex Mercer
Wiz: It turns out Alex mercer was the one responsible for all of this
Boomstick: After all he's a killer, a monster, a terrorist, ahh don't you just love late 2000s edge
Wiz: Alex had released the virus into penn station moments before he was gunned down, however something happened
Boomstick: the virus had merged with Alexs body forming a whole new Alex Mercer
Wiz: While most who were infected were simply turned into mindless zombies, something interesting happened with Alex.
Boomstick: Alex was granted incredible strength, speed, durability, and a badass new shapeshifting ability
Wiz: The blacklight virus gave Alex the ability to morph his body in various ways, from claws strong enough to tear through the amour of a tank, form his hands into whips able to latch on to helicopters, a blade that tear through tanks and helicopters, a shield which can tank rounds from an RPG, and armor that allows him to become far more durable than before, at the cost of some mobility.
Boomstick: Speaking of mobility, Alex is also crazy fast and agile. He's reacted fast enough to create a shield to protect himself from grenade launchers, can scale the empire state building in under a minute, and can out run gun fire from helicopters with easy.
WIz: However all of these pale comparison to his strongest attack, the Tendril Barrage, which causes him too shoot hundreds of tendrils in every direction at once.
Boomstick: heh but they'd love him over in Japan.
Wiz: These tendrils also tear through and stab who ever they touch, including humans
Boomstick: Thanks for the visual
Wiz: You gave it too yourself.
*awkward silence*
Wiz: Anyways! What Alex is most known for is his ability to consume others biomass to regenerate and gain there memories. This consumption allows him too regenerate any damage that may have occurred too him.
Boomstick: That is of course assuming you're even able to hurt him, as his armor ability allows him to morph his body into an ultra hard and powerful shell thank even tank shells have trouble breaking through!
Wiz: However Alex most fascinating power is his ability to infect and override almost anyone to heal.
Boomstick: Alex has survived being nuked, and came back like nothing happened when the tiniest piece of himself was eaten by a bird.
Wiz: However Alex isn't invincible. Anti-bodies, and gases made specifically to target the black light virus are heavily effective against him.
Boomstick: Not to mention enough fire or electricity can overwhelm his healing factor and kill him before he can fully regenerate.
Wiz: However his most famous weakness is other people infected with the black light virus, scuh as when Sgt. James Heller fought and consumed Alex finally ending the terror of the black light virus

The Thing[]
Wiz: The year was 1846 and Johann Gottfried Galle had discovered neptune, only 30 years earlier we had discovered Antarctica. We had discovered 7 of the 8 planets before anyone laid eyes on the 7th continent.
Boomstick: Thanks for the history lesson wiz but uhhh... what does this have to do with our show?
Wiz: To show just how truly little we know about the White continent, there could be anything there, including unknown cosmic horrors. Where if you're unlucky enough to come across one you're pretty much fucked.
Boomstick: Just like our the Norwegian research crew based in Antarctica, who came across an alien simply known as. The Thing! Oooooo spoooky
Wiz: This Alien posses the unique ability to copy and clone itself after assimilating organic material by coming into contact with it. This process also grants The thing shape shifting such as tearing open it's body, splitting off parts of it's body to form new members of it's hivemind, sprouting tentacles, and fusing together with other copies of itself to form monstrous beast.
Boomstick: As if that wasn't scary enough it's also extremely strong. Able to throw people around with ease using it's tentacles, can easily break through walls and celling's. Has torn through the hulls of ships and broken out of ice chambers like they were nothing, and even through around a bulldozer like it was nothing.
Wiz: It's also surprisingly durable. Surviving barrages of gunfire from pistols, has been torched and burned to a crisp within flame throwers, has been hit with Molotov cocktails, can surviving freezing cold weather, and even a massive ship explosion. It is damn near invincible.
Boomstick: Extremely Heavy damage from explosions and sustained attacks from fire have proven to be effective in damaging and killing it's various clones. That is if you can even catch the damn thing as it is pretty fast and mobile. Able to leap 20 feat into the air, able to out run a helicopter, and dodge fire from rifles.
Wiz: and while it's weakness to heat has proven to be a decent way to test who's infected via blood test, it's smart enough to recognize this and destroys blood samples to prevent people from testing on it, it's also smart enough to operate machine guns, create a spacecraft, and established a food source, perhaps it's most powerful effect is that of the phycological one it leaves. Anyone and everyone you know could be lying about who they are.
Boomstick: The Thing preys out on it's victims fear and paranoia, it'll turn into your loved ones to lure you into it's mouth, it sows chaos and distrust into you, and your friends. It takes advantage of the spreading chaos it picks people off, furthers the breakdown of the social order, and without rules we become just as animalistic and predatory as the thing.
Wiz: Thankful the monster would be stopped by Macready and child's who blew the monster to shreds and were the two survivors uninfected by the monster
Boomstick: or were they?
Childs: Well. What do we do?
Macready: why don't we just... wait here a little while
Pre-lude[]
wiz: Alright the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities, let's end this debate once and for all
Boomstick: IT'S TIME FOR A DEAAAAATH BATTTTLE!
Set-up[]
*New York City, New york. March 28th 2009*
Chaos and panic was wide spread across the city, entire city blocks were engulfed in flames as F-16s roared above the city sky dropping bombs. At a near by military base a group of Marines huddled around a radio when they heard the sound of an emergency alert
Radio: The following message is transmitted at the request of, the department of Defense. On March 23rd at 9:47 AM Eastern Daylight time a disaster of unknown type occurred at the Gentek research facility. A creature of unknown origin escaped into the New York City area causing damage to power and communication structure in the area, the United States Marine Core was deployed to the area. As of March 28th 5:29 PM the president has ordered an immediate withdrawl of all ground forces in the city, and begin immediate airstrikes over the city no later then 6:30 PM. In addition an evacuation order has been given to the entire state of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and surrounding areas. Extraction points are setup in the fo-
One of the Marines turned off the Radio
Marine 1: Christ, I can't believe we had to learn our evac orders via emergency alert, I mean, Jesus this thing has no frontline, let's take the chopper and get our of here.
Marine 2: I know right! Semper Fi my ass, I'm going home.
Marine 3: Yeah I know right, let's get out of here. Choppers just been refueled.
Marine Commander: Aright everyone aboard, I do not wanna be here when this city gets flattened.
Marine 4: wait hold on what's that.
Out of the dark emergered a sixth Marine.
Marine 5: WAIT! WAIT! LET ME ON
Marine 4: Who are you identify yourself.
Marine 5: I'm with D company, or what's left of it I guess... Please let me on I just wanna get out of here.
As the other Marines aimed there weapons at the D-company soldier the choppers Pilot shouted from the cockpit
Marine Pilot: Hey we, don't got much time either let him on, or leave him now because this whole place is gonna be history in about 15 minutes.
Marine Commander: Alright fine, you're coming with us but I want everyones weapons to be pointed at him, we can't risk whatever the fuck that thing running around the city escaping got it.
All Marines: Sir, Yes Sir!
The Chopper in the sky flew towards Boston the Marine commander stood up and punched a hole into the face of Marine 1 and began to assimilate him, Marine 3 grabbed his rifle and opened fire only for a tentacle to go straight into his chest, who jerked around violently feeling as every single cell in his body was overwhelmed by the thing. Marine 2 and 5 ran into the cockpit and slammed the door shutdown, Marine 4 slammed on the cockpit door begging to be let in
Marine 4: PLEASE PLEASE LET ME IN GUYS, PLEASE I HAVE A FA-
A large almost blade like hand burst through the door. The Marine Pilot tried to shake the chopper around in an attempt to drop the beast, however before he could a strange black substance appeared on the wind shield of the chopper, suddenly the chopper was pulled down violently crashing into a corner store causing the building to collapse. As the second Marine regained consciousness he felt something wrap around his leg pulling him deeper into the wreckage. As the Pliot awoke he saw a mass of flesh, limbs and faces, move towards a near by bookstore, he then saw Marine 6 run into a deli before screaming in terror and a loud burst of rifle fire, moments later a man in black hoodie jumped from the window of the deli and into the bookstore. The Marine pilot layed his down and closed his eyes.
As Alex entered the bookstore he saw the grotesque mass of flesh.
Alex: What the hell are you?!
The thing Screamed in anger before sending a tentacle toward Alex, Alex dodged it and transformed one of his hands into a claw and cut it off.
The Thing yelled once again preparing to attack once again
Alex: Yeah fuck you too pal.
FIGHT![]
Alex slammed his claw into the things body and tore out a large chunk of flesh, his other arm transformed into a whipfist and wrapped it around a one of the things heads, Alex quickly tried to tighten the grip but The Thing sprouted an arm from it's forehead and grabbed Alex whipfist, spun him around before throwing him out of the store into the crash site. Alex turned and saw the remains of the crashed chopper and picked it up and threw it into the bookstore The Thing took refuge in, causing a loud thunderous boom and the building collapse. As the dust began to settle a loud roar was heard from the rubble. The thing emerged bleeding and damaged, the faces of those it killed in pain.
Alex: Oh you just won't give up, will you.
Four tentacles sprouted from Alexs back and rushed towards the thing, burrowing themselves deep into the monsters body, they then began to rapidly pull Alex towards The thing. He turned his arm into a Blade and stabbed it straight through The Thing, ripping out the arm leaving a massive gash in the Monsters side. As Alex prepared to stab the monster again The thing sprouted several arms and tentacles and used them to completely insnare Alex lifting him up, and slamming him into the ground, breaking through the concreate and landing in a subway tunnel. As Alex tried to recover from the fall The Thing grabbed him and threw him through the tunnel wall and into a station, the staggered Alex quickly ran into an office in the station and found an NYPD officer hiding.
Alex: Sorry about this.
Alex stabbed the officer with his blade and consumed him to recover the damage he had taken. When he prepared to leave he saw The thing was searching the station for him, as Alex looked around he found a hatch in the roof of the office and jumped through it reaching the surface. There he found an abandoned tank and picked it up.
Alex: HEY ASSHOLE, I GOT SURPRISE FOR YOU
Alex then threw the tank into the station hitting the thing and causing severe structural damage the station. As the thing writhed around in pain Alex attempted to consume it but failed and was picked up and sent flying out of the station.
Alex: Damn! I can't crack it just yet.
The thing managed to escape from the station just as the building collapsed. Alex and The Thing began fighting once again moving and trading blows. Eventually Alex finally got the upper hand, jamming his blade arm into The Thing and slicing it in two. Suddenly the two halves began to grow sprouting new arms, legs and heads. One half had two heads morphed together with a hand coming from it's throat, a long narrow body carried by 4 spider like legs. The the other half had a head filled with bulbs that looked like tumors and razor sharp teeth, it's body was small and fat, and was carried by various arms and legs.
Alex: OH god damn it.
Alex quickly jumped over the two monsters and ran as fast as he could, with the two monsters giving chase. Eventually Alex found himself at there original fighting location, where he quickly ran into the deli where, as the two monsters followed Alex they morphed back into each other creating an even more horrific abomination of the two. Various bodies littered the deli the bottom floor where the thing quickly began to assimilate them while the Alex consumed them trying to hide from the thing. Eventually however the thing spotted Alex and slammed him sending him flying out of the Deli, the thing who was now a 12 foot tall amalgamation of heads, arms, legs, teeth, tentacles and eyes. Mean while Alex had consumed enough flesh and began to change, suddenly his body transformed into his armor form giving him one arm turned into a blade while the other turned into whipfist.
Alex: Alright let's finish this
The two ran at each other yelling. Alex jumped up and shot his whipfist at the thing stabbing it and swung around to it's behind and stabbed his arm blade into it. Alex ripped out his arm blade leaving a massive gash in the things neck. Suddenly Alex whipfist turned into a claw and was jammed into the neck of The Thing. Suddenly the things back turned into a mouth and bit into Alex while tentacles wrapped around him. As Alex desperately struggled to escape by digging himself out, the thing stabbed him even more with his tentacles and pushed him further in. Alex tried to reached out with a whipfist to escape but was soft fell into the things mouth. The thing then closed it's mouth sealing Alex inside. The thing then began to move away looking for more prey
Alex: no... not.... not like this... I c-can't... go out... NOT YET!!!!
Alex went critical mass and shout hundreds of tendrils ripping through the thing, Alex kicked his foot through The thing. The Monster riled in pain as it felt Alex ripping his way free from the inside. One of it's head shot up and was stuck as burst his head through, finally with one last push alex ripped his whole body free leaving a massive hole in the things body. Alex quickly turned around fired more tendrils into the thing.
Alex: Alright asshole now it's my turn.
Alex began to consume the thing. The beast screamed and cried in pain as it's consumed more and more by Alex, who suffered more and more as he felt the memories of everyone the thing had eaten absorb him. However soon after Alex had finished the consumption, The thing was dead.
Alex: Alright, it's over.
Alex looked over and saw the crash sight, and heard a groan.

Post fight[]
As the Marine pilot opened his eyes he saw Marine 6 sitting by him.
Marine 6: So what's the plan now.
suddenly the two heard helicopters land and a group of soldiers jump out
Soldiers: YOU TWO GET IN NOW
Marine Pilot: That is, I suppose
Explanation[]
Wiz: This fight was incredibly hard to decide, especially since there powers were so similar
Boomstick: However Alex had just enough advantages to win.
Wiz: For starters Alex was much faster, being able to scale the empire state building in under a minute would require him to be running at roughly 45 mph, That's faster than Usain Bolt! While the thing has out sped rifle fire, you have to remember it was a husky during this and rifle was coming from a helicopter, that was much higher, plus the thing had a head start. Huskies have a top speed of 30 mph, meaning Alex was much faster, and that's not even taking into account things like his rocket feat.
Boomstick: Alex was also much stronger able to throw around tanks and helicopters like they were nothing, while the thing could only lift a bulldozer. However what decided this fight was Alex superior shapeshifting, and special abilites.
Wiz: While it's safe to assume The thing could assimilate Alex, after all he was killed by consumption, we can also assume Alex can consume the thing, as we have no reason to believe Alex couldn't also consume other shapeshifters. Only one of them had the powers to effectively capitalize on this.
Boomstick: Alex's Blade could easily cut through the thing while his armor could defiantly protect him from any attack the thing tried to throw at him. Not to mention Alex could constantly heal any possible damage the thing gave him by consume part of the thing.
Wiz: Though the thing fought hard it was ultimately no match for the viral overload brought on by Alex and the black light virus.
Boomstick: The Thing really bit off more than it could chew and saw BLACKLIGHT and Blue
Wiz: The winner is Alex Mercer
