Description[]

Magic. We all want to live in a world full of it, but we're unfortunate enough to not live in those worlds. But for those who do happen to discover a whole new world of magic, you're going to need to be taught by some of the best of the best. In this case the Headmaster of Hogwarts and the mischievous Owl Witch.

Intro[]

Wiz: Albus Dumbledore. The Wizarding World's Headmaster of Hogwarts academy.

Boomstick: Eda Clawthorne. The Cursed Owl Witch of the Boiling Isles.

Wiz: Let's be real, we all wish we can perform some magic, but resources like those does not exist in our dreadful, boring universe.

Boomstick: But if by some coincidence, someone from our boring universe were to discover some magic, they must be trained by some of the best Wizards and Witches in their respective worlds. And we're here to see which of these 2 does better job at it. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.

Wiz: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills to see who should win a Death Battle.

Dumbledore is very calm in Death Battle[]

Wiz: When you look out into the world, what is the first thing you see?

Boomstick: A fridge with multiple flavored beers. That's what I see.

Wiz: No I mean in society, not your kitchen. To most people in the world, they see society as it is to be intended. Where nothing out of the ordinary can happen.

Boomstick: Little do these "Muggles" know, there exist a whole society based entirely on magic, and they don't even know about it. Even when it's right in their face, like say an entrance into the magical government, they wouldn't even know it was even there.

Wiz: For many generations, magic has been taught to many by schools across the world. From the southern reaches of the Beauxbatons to the Dark Arts emphasis of the Durmstrang Institute, perhaps no school is most widely known as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. All lead by their most prestigious headmaster...

Boomstick: Albus Percival Wulfric... Brian... Dumbledore. Sorry I had to do it.

Wiz: Prior to his headmaster status, you wouldn't know that Dumbledore's early life was filled with misery. His father was sentenced to Azkaban for attacking Muggles, his mother died to unknown causes and his sister was killed in a cross fire between him and his brother Aberforth. So not what you would expect from non Gandalf the White.

Screen Shot 2023-02-21 at 1.55.39 PM

Boomstick: Well to be fair, he did have one person who didn't die on him. His best friend and love interest, Gellert Grindelwald. The 2 were incredibly close and trained to be the very best out there with, let's just say, pretty extreme approach. Spoiler, this all lead to how Dumbledore's sister died.

Wiz: After this falling out Dumbledore decided to head to Hogwarts, where he took over for Defense Against the Dark Arts in order to make amends, abandoning his dream with Grindelwald to... subjugate the Muggle Society.

Boomstick: Wow that's pretty extreme. But Grindelwald didn't have any plan on stopping so he set out into the world to achieve his goal. All while Dumbledore was unable too after he did some weird magic sh*t that prevented him from harming his dear old friend. Though to be fair, if he was able to enter the action he's easily capable of doing most of the work.

Wiz: That's not overestimating him. He's easily one of the most powerful wizards in the entire world. His reputation is so unbelievable, that many people in both the good and dark side of the wizarding community are afraid of his capabilities.

Boomstick: And he's got the magic to back up his reputation. He's got the usual spells from lighting his surroundings with Lumos and making objects levitate with Wingardium Leviosaw.

Wiz: It's Leviosa not Leviosaw.

Boomstick: Ah blow it out your ass. But those spells are child's play compared to other spells. He's got spells that can completely immobilize his opponents with Immobulus, disarm or just harm people with Expelliarmus, blow sh*t up with Bombarda and reduce foes to dust with Reducto.

Wiz: That's far from what Dumbledore is capable of. He can form barriers, heals wounds, grow or shrink an object, transfigure people into animals, confuse his targets, create fire out of thin air, lift massive amounts of water, petrify foes, summon objects to his side and produce a corporal spirit that can wade off Dark Creatures.

Popup: While Dumbledore hasn't used many of these spells himself, his time teaching Defense Against the Darks Arts, Transfiguration and vast experiences in magic would leave little doubt in his capability in performing them,

Boomstick: At this point we might as well call it quits, cause that's likely not even half of the magical list. Though it does seem that he has spells for basically every occasion. He has spells that can swap a part of an object for something else, spells to read minds, spells to rob a person's momentum, spells to wipe a person's memory, teleport with Apparition, the works. He's evens got spells that can cancel out other spells called Finite and or Finite Incantatem.

Wiz: It wasn't long until Dumbledore quickly made a name for himself amongst the wizarding community. But the only thing he has that is potential better than his spells isn't anything magic related at all, but his intelligence. He has successfully outsmarted people on many occasions. From the dark forces of the Death Eaters to the Ministry of Magic themselves.

Boomstick: Even after being threatened to being sent to Azkaban, AKA high security magical prison, he said that he would have an easy time escaping but decided not to since it would be considered a waste of time do even do so. Instead he decided to bounce from the Magical Government right in front of their eyes... with style.

Wiz: He's utilized his intelligence along with his spells to use his magic to extreme effects. But much like many wizards and witches, Dumbledore channels his magical power though his wands.

Boomstick: While his original wand was nothing to scoff at, after his blood pact with Grindelwald ended and Dumbledore coming out victorious, he's got his hand on the most powerful wand in the world. The Elder Wand.

Wiz: Literally. Made from a tail hair of a Thestral and forged by Death himself, the Elder Wand possesses enormous energy unmatched by most. Enough to fix objects beyond repair to shooting bolts of Lightning enough to illuminate the sky.

Popup: Grindelwald once used the Elder Wand to kickstart the lightning in a storm and Dumbledore's battle with Voldemort produced similar ionized electricity. Making it possible that the Elder Wand's lightning could be compared to speeds of natural lightning.

Boomstick: But Dumbledore isn't just about wands. He's handmade his own magical object called the Deluminator. A device that can steal the light within his surroundings and it even lets him take his foes into a parallel mirror dimension. Like Doctor Strange, but British.

Wiz: And when going into battle, he's is most likely to be accompanied by his trusty Phoenix, Fawkes.

Boomstick: Aw man, having a Phoenix as a pet would be so damn cool. Now I would have a fire bird that can cook the squirrels that dare to enter my property without resorting to a flamethrower.

Wiz: Well the Phoenix is quite the combatant in it's own right. Not only does it provided Dumbledore with a fiery teleportation, but the very tears a Phoenix gives off can help heal wounds. Even the deadly poison of a Basilisk is cured almost immediately. And as a bonus, every time it dies, it would be reborn from it's own ashes, making it very difficult to permanently kill. Even using spells like Avada Kadavra, a spell that literally dubbed "The Killing Curse", is incapable of killing a Phoenix.

Boomstick: Wait so someone used Abra Kadabra on Fawkes? When did that happen in the movies?

Wiz: It didn't. It actually happened in the books. Jocelyn, if you would?

Jocelyn: Ok, most people probably have an extreme knowledge of the world of Harry Potter through the movies, but they do tend to forget not all of what happens in movies happens 100% in the books to not even being in the movies at all. For example in the Prisoner of Azkaban Movie, Harry got his Firebolt at the end of the movie while in the books it was roughly halfway in the story. Or how in the first book Harry has had multiple instances of showcasing magic even before that trip to the zoo. Or how about in...

Boomstick: Ok we get it just get to the point!!!

Jocelyn: Ok fine, movie watcher!!! What I'm saying that despite the differences between the books and the movies, they are basically treated as the same story in 2 different scenarios. So it's safe to say that the 2 can be composited into each other. Here's another example. In the Deathly Hollows part 1, Voldemort interrogates Grindelwald into giving up the location of the Elder Wand. However unlike in the movies where he did give the location away, in the books Grindelwald refused and mocked Voldemort right in his face. Being unbelievably pissed off, he flew from Nurmengard Castle to Malfoy Manor in a very short timeframe.

Wiz: Considering Nurmengard is located in Austria and Malfoy Manor being located in Wilshire, that would be a distance of over 1500 Kilometers. Based on the context in the book, we can assume a relative timeframe of 5 minutes. Meaning Voldemort must have been able to fly over 11,000 miles per hour. That's nearly 15 times faster than sound.

Popup: Based on Harry's description, Voldemort resorted to flight rather than teleportation with Apparition. Other characters in the books have performed similar impressive speed feats, such as Dedalus Diggle and a handful of other wizards producing shooting stars in the Sorcerer's Stone.

Boomstick: Holy Sh*t that's fast. And Dumbledore is quick enough to constantly hold his ground against him. Though despite that, all his hard efforts couldn't even save him from the worst disease ever... Death.

Wiz: Well to be fair his death did lead into the defeat and eventual death of Voldemort. Who wanting more power decided to take the Elder Wand away from Dumbledore's corpse. However despite possessing a wand more powerful than his previous wand, the Elder Wand did not truly accept Voldemort. Instead since Dumbledore was disarmed by Draco Malfoy, the wand at the time responded to him and not Severus Snape like he assumed.

Boomstick: Which means what ever Voldemort did with the wand, Dumbledore can do much better. Take the time Voldemort used the wand to nuke the Hogwarts Barrier causing a massive shockwave.

Wiz: Based on how far Voldermort was from the surrounding barrier, the resulting blast must have equaled an energy output of over 160 tons of Tnt.

Boomstick: That's over 14 times more powerful than the Mother of all Bombs. Not too shabby for someone who uses a stick for a source of magic.

Screen Shot 2023-02-24 at 11.46.38 AM

Wiz: Interestingly you should say that as while most wizards perform magic through their wands, there have been many occasions where wizards can use magic without the need of a wand, with Dumbledore being a prime example.

Boomstick: It was with these powers and wandless magic that he's taken down some of the most powerful wizards in the world. Like his nephew Credence, who can shred buildings with his power and shoot a magical blast that devastated a mountainside. And it all ended when he and Grindelwald had a climatic battle with Dumbledore coming out on top.

Wiz: Even years later and entering an extreme old age, Dumbledore remained a powerful adversary. Which would show in the rise of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters, thwarting their plan for world domination along with his own army, The Order of the Phoenix.

Boomstick: Despite having the power and skills to tract down the Horcruxes preventing Voldemort from dying, Dumbledore knew that he wasn't the guy that was supposed to kill him. Instead he decided to help educate the boy who inadvertently defeated Voldemort many years ago, Harry Potter.

Wiz: And it worked. Even after his death, Dumbledore had already sent Harry and his friends down the path that would inevitably kill Voldemort, though not without some sacrifices. But even with a man with all this power, Dumbledore greatest flaw is his desire... for more power.

Boomstick: That kind of seems hypocritical since that what he was aiming for in the first place.

Wiz: And that is exactly what sparked for this weakness. Dumbledore's thirst for power, fame and glory had come at the cost of his close one's being killed, just like Ariana Dumbledore. It was also because of this that he turned down being the head minister for the Ministry of Magic, all because that power could corrupt a man with it's authority.

Boomstick: But that doesn't stop him from throwing wands against those who want to hurt the people he cares about. Friends and Foes alike knows the power of Albus Dumbledore, so be sure not to be on his bad side for it would take more than a few good magic tricks to take this guy down.

Dumbledore: Send an owl to Azkaban. I'm think they'll find they're missing a prisoner.

Barty Crouch JR: I'll be welcomed back like a hero.

Dumbledore: Perhaps. Personally, I've never had much time for heroes.

Eda curses the magic in Death Battle[]

Wiz: When you look out into the world, what is the first thing you see?

Boomstick: Well what I see is a fridge with multi... wait why do I have a feeling we're doing a repeat.

Wiz: That's mainly because we are. However unlike a certain wizarding community, the idea of magic is nonexistent in our world. No secret magic society or magical schools doing spells from right under our nose. But since our world isn't suited for the idea of magic, perhaps another world will offer just that.

Boomstick: Welcome to the Boiling Isles. An island in an alternate dimension where the land is made out of a literal titan corpse. Pretty metal if you ask me. Sure the rain sucks, the animals suck more and literally nothing seems as normal as it looks. But they do have one thing that's better than our world... Magic.

Wiz: Indeed. Across the isles, many witches and wizards are assigned to 9 different Covens, each one specializing in a different style of magic. However to some, the very idea of staying on 1 specific magic course was idiotic. And while some witches and wizards do have the ability to learn from multiple Covens, there are some who decided to not be aligned with any Covens at all.

Boomstick: Enter Edalyn Clawthorne. Growing up she was your typical high school nut job. Pranking others, roughing up other kids, constantly getting into trouble... you know, the good stuff. But despite that, what she really wanted to do is to learn as much magic as possible.

Screen Shot 2023-02-28 at 3.09.19 PM

Wiz: Alongside her sister Lilith, the 2 would train together to one day become part of the Emperor's Coven. The highest ranking Coven status in the Boiling Isles.

Boomstick: And on the day they were given the opportunity, it was revealed that only one of them can the Coven. So to decide which of the 2 will join, they would have to fight each other. Buuuuut Eda decided to give up the dream and let her sister join the Coven. Which might sound sweet at first, until you know what Lilith did to ensure her status. We'll get to this part later.

Wiz: Though many years later, Lilith offered Eda a position in the Coven. However despite the Emperor's Coven being their long life dream, Eda rejected the idea of joining a Coven. Deciding she would be much better if she didn't join any Covens.

Boomstick: Well to bad the government didn't take to kindly to Eda's ideology, so it wasn't long until she she branded as a Fugitive. But in all fairness, Eda was kind of right. Without being limited to any magic system, the range of her spells exceeds many other people.

Wiz: It was because of her Covenless status that made her one of the most powerful and most unpredictable Witches in the Boiling Isles. Complete with a wide assertion of magic she can use.

Boomstick: By drawing a circle in mid air, Eda can cast different kinds of spells. Like shooting fire balls, putting foes to sleep, forming barriers, swap bodies or even open portals to return an attack back to it's user. Okay what is with the Doctor Strange references lately?

Screen Shot 2023-02-28 at 2.56.18 PM

Wiz: That's not all. She could utilize her magic for flight, shoot powerful beams of magic, and by drawing a circle on any surface she can summon an owl monster to attack her foes. Much akin to her Owl companion Hooty.

Boomstick: Which goes to show that even a seamlessly friendly Owl can be anyone's worst nightmare. She can also use her magic for telekinesis, pull a Vegeta and explode magic from her body and even create Owl constructs out of magic to eradicate her foes. Uh is it just me or does it seem like she has a thing for Owls?

Wiz: Well you are not that far off. On the night before her and Lilith's duel, her sister, wanting to join the Emperor's by any means necessary, decided the best course of action was to... curse Eda with a beast. Which just so happens to be an Owl.

Boomstick: Uh Wiz. I don't know about you but in what reality does that even look like an Owl? It looks more like a big ass rat with wings. But she does live in the Boiling Isles of all places so I guess that thing counts as an Owl.

Wiz: If Eda were to ever run out of magic, she can assume the form of the Owl Beast. While this form causes her to lose all self control, it does provided her with a massive increase in strength and natural flight.

Boomstick: Though what good is a transformation if you don't even have control over it? Which is why Eda always comes prepared with a handful of Elixirs to help keep her magic in tack. I don't know what's in them but if it somehow gives you the ability to remove your body parts with no issue, then sign me up. Taking a shower will never feel like a chore again.

Wiz: This isn't perfect however. Using too much of her magic can decrease the effectiveness of her Elixirs and if she were to run out of both magic and Elixirs, it could cause her to stay in the Owl Beast... permanently.

Boomstick: But as Eda sees it, what's life without a little risk? As in, she's hangs out in the middle of a public area where everyone can see her including the police and she somehow runs a business. Every, Single, Day. Barely giving a sh*t for her safety. And how is she making Ends Meet you may ask? Well one day she discovered a magical door that leads to the human realm, which she now uses as a way to steal from us in order to sell junk in her world. So selling stuff from an alternate dimension is legal I guess.

Wiz: But as a literal doorway that lead to the world of humans, it was only natural for a human to one day stumble through that door. Such was the case for the human, Luz Noceda.

Boomstick: She's basically your typical anime dweeb girl who really, REALLY wants to experience magic. Being the kind Owl Lady that she is, Eda decided to take her under her wing and teach her in the ways of magic, despite Luz not being properly equipped to do so.

Wiz: The 2 would go on many adventures with Eda being there to save Luz if anything were to get out of hand. Which of course meant sacrificing her magic in order to save Luz from the clutches of Emperor Belos. Though even after using up all her magic and being stuck in the form of the Owl beast, with the help of Lilith she was able to regain her old body back. Though not without some drawbacks.

Boomstick: She was stuck without the ability to use any kind of magic. But as Luz learned a way to perform magic, this gave Eda an opportunity to use a different form of magic; Glyph Magic.

Popup: While she's technically unable to perform any magic from that point onward, it's been shown that she still possess the ability to perform them to a much more limited extent. For this battle, we will be examining her at her peak along with her arsenal she's gained after her magical cripple.

Screen Shot 2023-02-28 at 2.58.26 PM

Wiz: By drawing power from the titan she lives on, she can uses Glyph Magic to cast new forms of spells. With Fire she can launch a powerful burst of flames. With Ice she can launch icicles for offense or frozen pillars for defense. With Plant she can cause the roots beneath her to encase her enemies. And with Light she can illuminate her area or produce a blinding light similar to a flash bang.

Boomstick: And mix matching some of them can create whole new types of spells. This lets Eda levitate in mid air, create smokescreens and can even turn invisible so long as she holds her breath.

Wiz: While this gave her a new availability for magic, Eda is known to come prepared with gear and objects if she doesn't feel like using magic. Like an assortment of explosive bombs, traps and most importantly, her own Palisman Owlbert.

Boomstick: Oh for f- again with the owls?!?!?! With all the owls, I'm surprised there isn't a character named Hedwig.

Wiz: Now hold on, this owl in particular is special. Not only does Owlbert follow Eda's command, it also allows her a magic less flight and it also helps Eda draw out more of her magic power. Jocelyn, you can take over now.

Jocelyn: Ok so in the Boiling Isles, magic is channeled through a witches body through a special organ called the Bile Sack. Trust me it's way less grosser than it sounds. But anyways, by drawing a circle in mid air lets them use magic for whatever they need. But a thing to remember is that the effect of the spell can be increase the larger the circle that is drawn. This can even include any object Eda were to get her hands on, with her Palisman being a prime example. Letting her uses her magic to it's full potential.

Boomstick: But thankfully not all magic spells require magic. With a little help from Raine Whispers, Eda learned the art of Bard Magic. Instead of her typical spells, Bard Magic is amplified by the user's own magic force. Which is how Eda was able to use it even well after she got cursed.

Wiz: Well the curse did have some side effects on her use on Bard Magic. Because the curse corrupted her magic, when Eda uses Bard Magic it can causes her surrounding area to dematerialize and destroy any objects. This can range from other beings being fueled by magic to even... herself.

Boomstick: But even though this means that she could die if she uses it to long, it's something she's more than willing to do to protect the ones she cares about. Whether it was Luz, King, Hooty, or even Raine himself. Because let's just say those 2 were a bit more than just friends.

Wiz: Raine is quite the fighter himself and the 2 have matched each other in combat. This is impressive as Raine's uses of Bard Magic allows him to use sound to change the makeup of his surroundings. Whether it be from launching sound waves at his enemies to even forming bolts of lightning, and Eda is quick enough to dodge these attacks from just a few feet away from her.

Boomstick: And Eda has the strength to back up this speed. She's tough enough to get smashed through concrete and even survived an explosion that wrecked the wall of a police station. Her magic is just as impressive, capable of launching a giant crab monster beyond the horizon with a simple fireball.

Wiz: She's utilized these powers against many different types of enemies. Ranging from some of the Emperor's highest trained enforcers to even her apprentice Luz. Despite her only being able to use Glyphs, they still showcased incredibly levels of power. Much like when Gus used the Fire Glyph to eradicate a large amount of vines and wood.

Popup: Despite Eda's fight with Luz being much more non lethal and non direct, Eda has been consistently portrayed as superior to Luz and her Glyphs. Making it reasonable to compare Eda to many of Luz's best feats.

Boomstick: By comparing the size of the hole to Gus himself, the power of the Fire Glyph must have output energy equivalent to about 40 tons of Tnt. That's like getting rammed by 5 million semi truck riding at top speed, at the same time.

Screen Shot 2023-02-28 at 2.59.57 PM

Wiz: With these powers and feats, there were very little that could stand in her way. In fact through the whole series, there was only 1 person who could match Eda in battle, her own sister Lilith. However despite Lilith's multiple attempts to force Eda to join a Coven and Eda's curse weakening her, she has defeated Lilith on multiple occasions.

Boomstick: And with a little help from her friends, Eda was able to make peace with the Owl Beast within her. As in, she literally talked with the beast and the 2 came to reason with each other. And through this Eda gained a new power, the ability to transform into a Harpy.

Wiz: As Harpy Eda, her physical abilities increased ten fold and even grants her flight and enhanced senses. Capable of moving faster than eyesight and tough enough to get punched through a forest. Amazing powers sure, but overtime this sort of power did get to her head. Despite her wide array of magic spells and experience, Eda isn't exactly known to be the brightest Owl in the Isles.

Boomstick: Yeah a majority of her fighting style is to kick ass first and take names later. Which landed her in trouble many, many times.

Wiz: But it was nothing her wits and her friends couldn't help her out of. And throughout her journeys with Luz, Eda became much more sympathetic and much more stable. It was through this act that she would throw down her life for those she cares about. Whether it was against the Coven Heads themselves or even the cosmic entity known as The Collector.

Boomstick: Benicio Del Toro?

Wiz: No, the child. Which all goes to show how far she's come. From a witch who constantly seeks out trouble to a witch that would fight the impossible to save everyone. Such is the case for Eda the Owl Witch.

Eda: I'm Eda, the Owl Lady. The most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles.

Death Battle[]

We start off in an office at the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Everything is going fine. The lights are out with only the heat of a Phoenix in the room giving off a small red glow. As the Phoenix was snipping his feathers, a shadowy figure appears outside of the glass window. This person drew a circle in mid air and unlocked the window, allowing this person to sneak inside the office. This person, who doesn't appear to be human yet bares many resemblance, pulled out a piece of paper that turned into a ball of light.

Eda: Finally. This is that fire bird I've heard about. Supposedly these thing's feathers are incredibly valuable. Can't see the reason not to have one.

Eda pulled out a pair of tweezers and slowly approached the Phoenix, trying not to get it's attention.

Eda: Here birdy birdy. Act nice and don't be such a...

Before Eda could finish her sentence, the light from her Light Glyph faded away, leaving Eda unable to see anything.

Eda: Aw drats.

Eda quickly pulled out another Light Glyph and illuminated the area. When she tried to look for the Phoenix, it was gone. She looked around to see where it had gone. With her back turned, a hand placed itself on her shoulder. Before she could react, her and someone else were suddenly transported to the Quidditch Field. After the teleportation Eda had trouble finding her balance, but once she did she made a circle in the air and fired a Fireball at the person that transported her. The attack made contact but the man that teleported them quickly pulled out a barrier.

Dumbledore: Pretty foolish to be attacking on a school night.

Eda: Here's a news update old man, I haven't been in school in many years so school night or not I'm getting that Phoenix Feather.

Eda drew a circle on the ground and a giant Owl monster emerged and is approaching Dumbledore at high speeds. Dumbledore sidestepped away but as he did, Eda began to draw multiple circles on the Owl monster to release more creatures from the original's body. Dumbledore continued to dodge the beast but he decided to Apperrate on top of the beast and strike it with his Wand. It triggered a chain reaction that caused the beast to break apart and unable to move.

Eda took advantage of this and threw a couple explosives at the beast's body to form a distraction. This caused the beast's body to exploded into many pieces and Dumbledore falling to the ground. Dumbledore regained his footing and sees Eda in the sky.

Dumbledore: Flight without a Broomstick?

Eda: That's right old man. Now get ready for this.

Eda pulled out her Palisman and begun to spin it. When she finished, she fired off multiple magical projectiles at once. Dumbledore dodged the first 3 shots while the next 2 was blocked by his magical shields. To get past the next attacks, Dumbledore conjured up a firestorm that engulfed the remaining attacks. Eda quickly made a circle and conjured up a fireball as big as herself and launched it straight into Dumbledore's firestorm.

With fire adding into more fire, it was only natural that the 2 attacks together created... even more fire. The collision caused smoke to blind Eda's view. She tried to fix this by using a spell but as she was making a circle she was stopped halfway making it. This is because Dumbledore casted Immobulus to immobilize Eda's body. Then he used Wingardium Leviosa to pull Eda's body straight to the ground, causing a small crater. With Eda still immobilized, Dumbledore softly walked over to her body.

Dumbledore: Impressive. Wandless magic is not common, and even still to perform magic at the level you produce is quite formidable. Unfortunately your rampage ends here.

Eda tried her best to form a grin, for Dumbledore not know that by talking, he was giving Eda time to unleash a self exploding blast. Eda's body begun to glow and Dumbledore tried to put up a shield. However even as he did so, the magical explosion launched Dumbledore backwards towards an end of the Quidditch field. In the same sentence, the magical explosion did just as much to Eda as she produced it, with her body slowly turning black as she's about to turn into the Owl Beast.

Eda: For Titan sake, that one took more out of me than I thought. I'm running dry fast.

Eda then pulled out her Palismin, with the Owl head detached from the main rod. Eda also reached into her hair and gave it a couple of elixirs.

Eda: Take these. I might need them for later.

Owlbert then took the Elixirs and flew away from the battlefield. Eda then tried to get up and continue the fight.

Eda; You know, I only know 2 humans that can do magic. One is probably the sweetest person alive, and the other is the complete opposite. Let's see what kind of person you are.

Eda pulled out a couple of Ice Glyphs and slammed them into the ground. This turned the entire Quidditch field into an ice skating ring. Dumbledore recovered from Eda's previous attack and quickly jumped over the ice to avoid being stuck to it. Eda then tried to cast her Plant Glyphs to encase Dumbledore but it was countered as he produced a shockwave that obliterated the plants. Dumbledore then shot out a powerful lightning attack but Eda, very riskily uses her own magic supply to form a barrier that blocked the blast.

With Eda's magic quickly faltering, she pulled out numerous amounts of Light Glyphs that illuminated the entire field. With one hand movement, the light balls quickly produce a powerful blinding light. However before that happened Dumbledore pulled out his Deluminator to absorb the oncoming attack. By the time the Deluminator absorbed all of the Light Glyphs, Eda pulled out a Lute and begun to play it. Dumbledore then shot an attack but as the Bard Magic was spreading across the area and when the attack got in range, it went haywire and went off it's trajectory.

Eda quickly jumped towards Dumbledore in an attempt to corrupted his magic but Dumbledore quickly Apparated away, teleporting to the benches high above. Not wanting to get his magic corrupted he looked over to the goal posts and came up with a plan. Dumbledore pointed his wand at the 3 goal post and fired a blast that detached them from the ground. He then used his Levitation Spell to pick up the destroyed goal post and flung them directly towards Eda. She tried to uses her Bard Magic as fast as she can and just before the posts made contact with her, they turned to dust at the last minute. Eda then noticed Dumbledore on the benches and jumped to attack him but he retaliated by casting a fog across the whole stadium.

Dumbledore: NEBULUS!!!

The fog blocked out Eda's eyesight and she crashed into the bleachers. As the Bard Magic was starting to take an effect on her, she decided to stop using it until she finds Dumbledore. Unfortunately Dumbledore found her and unleashed Bombarda Maxima at her Lute, destroying it. Still unable to see her opponent, Eda then to use her Invisibility Glyph to avoid Dumbledore's detection. As the fog gave way, Dumbledore could not seem to find Eda's location. She then gave way at her invisibility to land a sucker punch at Dumbledore's face. She then threw a punch at Dumbledore's stomach and sent him falling with a headbutt.

It was around this time that the curse was starting to take over, but Dumbledore didn't know this so he unleashed Stupefy to send her flying. Dumbledore teleported to the middle of the field to try to recover his wounds. As he was in the process, he heard a screech from the direction he sent her. It wasn't long until the Owl Beast completely took over Eda's body and is now flying towards Dumbledore at high speeds. She would have crashed into Dumbledore if he hadn't teleported away in time.

Still wounded Dumbledore tried to attack the Owl Beast but it overpowered many attacks Dumbledore threw at it. However since it was attacking as a feral beast, it's fighting style was straight forward and Dumbledore took advantage of it. He teleported in front of one of the towers around the field and the Owl Beast then flew directly towards him. He then teleported at the last minute and as the Owl Beast flew into the tower, it fell on top of it. It did however got itself out of the rubble but it was left injured. As Dumbledore observed, he noticed that Owlbert was flying towards it with a couple of elixirs in hand. As it was, Fawkes came from the castle and begun to wrestle with it, all while Dumbledore began to walk towards the Owl Beast painfully.

As Owlbert and Fawkes wrestled, it caused one of the elixirs to fall out of one of Owlbert's claws. Owlbert quickly dropped out of Fawkes reaches, but as it did Fawkes begun to encase it within it's own fire. Just before it got encased, Owlbert threw the elixir directly at the Owl Beast's open mouth. Just as the Beast ingested the Elixir, Owlbert got consumed by the fire. The Beast's eyes then turned normal and Eda regained control. At the sight that Owlbert got burnt to a crisp, Eda quickly transformed into Harpy Eda and clawed Fawkes in the stomach. Before Fawkes's body turned to ash however, it gave off tears that landed on Dumbledore's wounded body. As Fawkes' body turned to ash, Eda looked at her claws with a Phoenix feather in her palm.

Eda: All of this, at the cost of my Palisman. I may have what I have now, but what I want right now is to see... you... hurt.

With the sentence ending, she flew at the newly refreshed Dumbledore at speeds so fast, Dumbledore barely had time to put up his Shielding Charm. Despite that however, the strength Harpy Eda brought was unlike anything Dumbledore had ever seen. With every strike, it caused the barrier to crack. She flew upwards to smash at it from above, but Dumbledore teleported out of the way by the time she hit the shield. Dumbledore landed on the other side of the field, with Eda flying right behind the trail. Needing an opportunity, Dumbledore fired off a powerful bolt of magic with Eda pushing through the attack, despite feeling great pain.

As Eda was closing in on Dumbledore, he decided to uses more magic than he had ever produced before. The beam fired from the Elder Wand suddenly increased in power causing Eda to lose her grounding. After the attack was finished Eda was starting to feel exhausted. Dumbledore was starting to feel that way to, and the effects of the last attack started to make the Elder Wand crack. Eda recovered first however and grabbed Dumbledore from his coat.

She then begun to fly towards the clouds with Dumbledore unable to use his wand to directly attack Eda. As they reached a height where they can't see the ground, Eda then put her claws into Dumbledore torso and it causes Dumbledore to bleed out. She then holds him up close to get a better look at him.

Eda: Any last words?

Dumbledore, despite losing his breath, pulled himself towards Eda to tell her his last words.

Dumbledore: E...expe...

Eda then rose her other hand to swipe at Dumbledore's head, but as she tried to Dumbledore finally spoke what he was going to say.

Dumbledore: EXPELLIARMUS!!!

As the spell was designed to disarm the opponent, the only thing that was disarmed from Eda was... the whole arm that had been holding Dumbledore. It was through this that Eda missed her attack and Dumbledore begun to fall towards the ground. Eda followed but Dumbledore finally found the opportunity he was looking for. With the Elder Wand, he manipulated the clouds around him to give off lightning and attacking Eda. She tried to maneuver around them all but one bolt landed on one of her wings so she was falling at the same rate as Dumbledore.

She didn't give up however as she begun to fall towards his direction, not knowing that she was falling toward a trap.

Dumbledore: Sorry about this...

Eda gave a quick expression of realization that she had been tricked.

Eda: What?

Dumbledore: Avada... Kedavra.

As he said that the entire sky turned green. As Dumbledore made it passed the clouds and was about to land in the nearby lake, he casted Arresto Moments on himself to slow his decent into the water. He crashed into the lake but thanks to the spell, he received minimal damages. Another body landed in the lake which was Eda, but she had not shown any sign of pain. In fact she seems to be unable to function at all. As seen when her body started to turn back to normal that Dumbledore knew that the fight was finished.

He then begun to walk back towards the stadium to retrieve the Fawkes that would rise from the ashes from the battle.

Announcer: KO!!!

Boomstick: Let this be a lesson to kids out there. You will always be better if you complete your school career than someone who dropped out of it.

Wiz: Eda Clawthorne was certainly a powerful witch in her own right, but there is a very good reason why Dumbledore was feared as much as he was in his universe.

Boomstick: A good reason for that has to be his intelligence. Sure Eda is a skilled fighter, but Dumbledore has been doing magic tricks for way longer and has showcased much more creativity with his spells than anything Eda has shown. Plus he is no where near as reckless as a fighter as Eda was, so it was very likely that could have very easily outsmarted her and take advantage of an opening.

Wiz: That's not the only thing. Given the lightning based properties of both the Elder Wand and Raine's Bard Magic, Dumbledore and Eda would roughly be in the same ballpark in speed. However a majority of Eda's spells required certain incantations in order for her spells to be perform, which can be interrupted in mid combat. Whereas Dumbledore is skilled enough to perform his magic without any sort of incantation and even to some extent, without the need of his wand.

Popup: In hindsight their lightning speed is a rather generous highball, given the sound based properties of Bard Magic and the lack of lightning reaction feats in Harry Potter. Using more conservative feats like Voldemort's flight speed compared to the flight speed of Harpy Eda would have resulted in Dumbledore being faster.

Boomstick: Which means that despite their similar speeds, Dumbledore would have had a much easier time getting his spells out first before Eda. But it wasn't just speed that Eda struggled at.

Wiz: Let's take a look at their magical power output. Comparing Eda to the Fire Glyphs and Dumbledore to Voldemort, Dumbledore was roughly 4 times more powerful. And while Eda's natural magic could be superior to those made by Glyphs, as the Elder Wand rejected Voldemort the same can be applied to Dumbledore.

Popup: Even using non combat applicable feats like the Luz's Ice Glyphs and Dumbledore fogging up London, it would have resulted in energies equivalent to 7 Kilotons and 40 Kilotons of Tnt respectively.

Boomstick: Though that didn't mean Eda was completely outmatched. Sure she was not as strong as Dumbledore magically, but she more than made up for it in physical strength. She once struck her whole house hard enough to shake it and even survived getting punched through a forest. Something Dumbledore has never done or survived without magic.

Wiz: If this was a battle based entirely on their physical attributes, Eda could have easily taken the victory. But given the universe they inhabit, it was likely never going to boil down to that.

Popup: While there have been instances of Wizards having superhuman feats like Harry getting hit through a stone wall and Dumbledore getting dragged through concrete, none of them really came close to the attacks Eda has survived.

Boomstick: Yep. To find the real winner of this battle, we need to know who's magic was better. And this is probably where Eda completely loses her edge. Despite the fact that Eda's covenless status means she can learn much more spells than your typical witch, her spells don't exactly stack up to the massive amount of spells Dumbledore has access to.

Wiz: Right, a great majority of the spells Eda has access to, Dumbledore possessed very similar spells. Whether it be telekinesis, fire, light, smokescreens or magical barriers.

Boomstick: Even with the dematerializing Bard Magic Eda has, Dumbledore has access to Finite which can cause similar effects to magic. The difference is that one of them doesn't kill themselves if used for too long.

Popup: Eda's Bard Magic also has a very limited range only effecting an area within a few feet from Eda, requiring outside help from Raine to increase its range. In comparison, the range of magic produced by the Elder Wand is capable of spreading throughout all of Paris when it was in the possession of Grindelwald.

Wiz: This is probably the biggest difference between the 2. Whereas Eda's magic can prove fatal if used in excessive amounts, Dumbledore's magic had no such drawbacks.

Boomstick: Sure Eda does have her Glyph Magic and Elixirs to fall back on. But much like your average school textbook, they were not in unlimited supplies. And given Dumbledore's spells like Expelliarmus or his Switching spells, he could have easily separated Eda from her magical arsenal.

Wiz: Granted Eda's did possess many different methods of flight, whether it be through her magic, Palisman or Harpy Form. All of which could grant her much more mobility than Dumbledore and could provide her the means to get in close.

Boomstick: But with Dumbledore's teleportation with Apperition, it would have made it difficult for Eda to get in close enough to land a fatal blow, with Dumbledore's barriers making it only made it harder for her. And considering Dumbledore had spells that can literally rob Eda's own momentum, this meant that Dumbledore had ways to turn that speed tie into an advantage in his favor.

Popup: The strength of Dumbledore and Eda's magical barriers should be capable of protecting them from attacks as strong as their own attack output. Given how Dumbledore's attack power surpassed Eda's, he should be capable of overpowering Eda's barriers while she doesn't have any reliable answers for getting around Dumbledore's barriers.

Wiz: Ultimately, Eda was just not equipped in dealing with Dumbledore's vast magical arsenal. And that's not even taken into consideration the many spells Dumbledore could have used to end the battle immediately.

Boomstick: Turn her to dust with Reducto, petrify her with Petrificus Totalus, wipe her mind with Obliviate, control her body with Imperio, blow her ass up with Bombarda or just immediately kill her with Avada Kedavra. Sure Eda could hypothetically swap Dumbledore's body with someone else, but it's not really effective in a 1 on 1 scenario whereas Dumbledore could have just transform her into a ferret or just shrink her size to make her much weaker.

Popup: Harry Potter was able to survive the Killing Curse due to possessing part of Voldemort's soul which could be a similar case with Eda and the Owl Beast. However this doesn't help her from withstanding Dumbledore's other methods of instantly killing her or being hit with Avada Kedavra a second time.

Wiz: With the wide assortment of spells Dumbledore's can used, this meant that even if Eda was tough enough to survive Dumbledore's more powerful spells, he still possessed multiple options that could have proved to be incredibly fatal for Eda. Meaning he had options to kill her whenever and however he wanted.

Boomstick: And once Eda's magic ran out and she turns into the Owl Beast, it was basically game over. Sure the Owl Beast does possess impressive levels of strength, but its mindless nature would have made it quite easy for Dumbledore to take advantage of and landing that killing blow when he needed to.

Wiz: Eda was certainly not gonna go down without giving Dumbledore a run for his Galleons. But with Dumbledore's superior power, tactical intelligence, greater experience and overwhelming magical variety, it meant that it was lights out for the Owl Witch.

Boomstick: This battle was surely magical but at the end of this Eda-ning, she lost out to good ol fashion Abra Kadabra.

Wiz: The winner is Albus Dumbledore.
