Devilman VS Digital Devil Story!!

Ordinary high-schoolers who get tangled up in a demon summoning ritual. They bond with a demon which becomes a power source for them to call upon. Both of their stories involve previously invisible and intangible demons bringing themselves into the real world, resulting in an apocalyptic cataclysm as the war between humans and demons comes to a head as demons infiltrate positions of power in the human hierarchy. Both of their series also involve reincarnation and rebirth. Ultimately, the two end up dying due to the actions of Satan/Lucifer. There's a distinct contrast in the fact that Akira was a pure of heart warrior who eventually became disillusioned with humanity, while Nakajima began as a very selfish and spiteful individual who learned to become better as an individual.
