Adam Taurus vs. Ramattra is Episode 21 in Koboldy’s Death Battles. It features Adam Taurus from Rooster Teeth’s animated series RWBY, and Ramattra from Blizzard Entertainment’s Hero Shooter Overwatch.

RWBY vs. Overwatch! Two leaders of their oppressed race, seeking justice by any and every means necessary. Who will live long enough to lead their groups towards to the future?
Interlude[]
Wiz: When fighting for equal rights, “peace” is sometimes not enough.
Boomstick: And these two know that better than anyone. After all, they’ve been pushed past where peace could even possibly be an option.
Wiz: Adam Taurus, leader of the White Fang, the Faunus Extremist Group.
Boomstick: And Ramattra, leader of Null Sector, the Omnic Extremist group.
Wiz: And it’s our job to analyze their weapons, armor and skills, to find out who would win…a Death Battle.
Adam Taurus[]
Wiz: The White Fang was not the organization it always was. Led by Ghira Belladonna, The White Fang was a peaceful group that sought to end the discrimination of the Faunus. Human-like beings with animal features, who had suffered bigotry and discrimination for far too long.
Boomstick: Unfortunately, the whole “nonviolent” schtick didn’t really work out. And Ghira stepped down, leading to Sienna Khan becoming their new leader. And she took a more…direct approach to all this.
Wiz: The White Fang became more and more militarized and violent, staging several terrorist acts against businesses that discriminated against the Faunus. And one of Sienna Khan’s chief enforcers and important members during this age of The White Fang was one Adam Taurus.
Boomstick: Adam was originally one of the Faunus laborers that worked for the Schnee Dust Company, until he was branded and blinded in his left eye with the SDC logo itself. This, uh, didn’t exactly sit well with him. And with a growing hatred of humanity as a whole, it was only inevitable he would find himself joining The White Fang.
Wiz: Adam made himself well known amongst The White Fang’s leadership, both for his skilled swordsmanship and willingness to do whatever it takes to complete a mission and further the goals of Faunus society. Including killing humans.
Boomstick: He also became a bit intermingled with one Blake Belladonna, though she slowly became dissuaded from his beliefs. Coming to a head when he and Blake hijacked a train that was carrying Schnee goods on it. Fighting off Atlas security while securing the Dust that was in the cargo.
Wiz: However, Adam also planned on bombing the train after procuring the goods. Blake, upon learning this, used Adam fighting one of Atlas’ Spider Drones as a distraction to make her escape and leave both him and The White Fang for good. Something that Adam never got over.
Boomstick: Though at the time, Adam didn’t let his possessive obsessions get the better of him. Originally ignoring Blake’s desertion, until one Cinder Fall came to him with a deal of working together with her in order to bring down Vale and Beacon Academy. While initially he didn’t want anything to do with her due to her being, y’know, human. He quickly changed his mind when Cinder came back with the power of a Maiden at her disposal.
Wiz: And it was during the attack on Vale that Adam was reunited with Blake. Easily defeating his former partner and nearly killing her. But it wasn’t just her death that he was looking for.
Boomstick: Like any good villain with a grudge, Adam sought to truly break her. And upon seeing her friend Yang come to her defense, Adam found the perfect opportunity to do just that. Slashing through Yang’s Aura with ease, and cleanly cutting off her right arm.
Wiz: Though some clever diversions and use of her Semblance got both Blake and Yang away from Adam, he was satisfied with what he had accomplished. Though he was certainly far from finished with the both of them.
Boomstick: Considering he put the fear of god into both of them without even breaking a sweat, it’s a safe bet to say that Adam very much outclasses every member of Team RWBY. Meaning that Adam likely upscales from any major feats that they have, such as Weiss taking on a Queen Lancer.
Wiz: Regardless, Adam’s scheming was not over. As Sienna Khan hardly approved of what Adam did in Vale. But Adam had already planned for this, killing Sienna Khan and taking over The White Fang for himself.
Boomstick: But here is where Adam kinda goes off the rails a bit. Y’see, while all this was going on, Blake had returned home to Menagerie, a sort of safe haven for Faunus. Speaking to her parents, including former White Fang leader Ghira, the Belladonna family denounced The White Fang and Adam’s new leadership. Which, uh, royally pissed him off.
Wiz: Adam ordered the Belladonna family killed, minus Blake, who would be brought to him alive. All while he engaged in another plot to bring down Haven Academy, completely unaware that his assassination plots had failed. And once he arrived at Haven only to come face to face with Blake, he also found himself outnumbered by a combination of Menagerie Faunus opposed to his extremist actions and the Menagerie police.
Boomstick: After being humiliated by this and Blake getting a sneak attack in on him after losing himself to anger, Adam…ran away like a little bitch. Huh. Not where I expected this story to go.
Wiz: Of course, that only served to anger him more. He had lost control of everything. He had lost his allies of Cinder and Salem’s faction. He had lost his White Fang. He was a man without a purpose anymore.
Boomstick: Something he blamed all on Blake Belladonna. It all came back to her betrayal back at the train heist. And so, he decided to settle it once and for all. Stalking Blake and the rest of Team RWBY across near the entire damn continent. Gotta give him points for commitment when he did that after a train derailment.
Wiz: Despite being lost in his anger and grudges, Adam still wasn’t stupid. He knew he couldn’t take on Team RWBY, Qrow, and the potential appearance of Ozpin. So, he waited until Blake would be alone. And he finally got his chance once Team RWBY separated while trying to get to Atlas. And he would have likely easily killed Blake if it wasn’t for the sudden appearance of Yang taking him off guard.
Boomstick: And even then, Adam made it clear why he was such a feared combatant. Being able to go toe to toe easily with two different combatants, even nearly killing both of them. And keep in mind that someone like Weiss was capable of freezing massive bodies of water. Equaling to 525 tons of TNT by herself.
Wiz: Another reason why Adam was such a troublesome opponent for the both of them is due to the combination of Aura and his Semblance: Moonslice. Allowing him to absorb the energy of attacks into his katana and refocusing it into one massive attack. Something he used to deflect the particle beam of one of Atlas’ Spider Drones, meaning Adam would have had to react at sub-relativistic speeds. Or, more accurately, Mach 61,129.
Boomstick: Yeah, the combo of having a busted defense/offense Semblance in addition to having a great big health bar of armor in Aura means Adam is a tough cookie to crack. And had it been a straight fight, things probably would have gone worse for Yang and Blake than it did back at Beacon.
Wiz: But Blake no longer running and Yang no longer being an impulsive hot head, combined with Adam’s cool being lost long ago, meant he finally met his end. Blake and Yang found that without his sword, there was only so much that Adam could do. And once they got rid of that and goaded him into being just as impulsive as Yang used to be, Blake’s long nightmare finally ending as his corpse fell off the side of a cliff.
Boomstick: Not exactly a happy ending for what is supposed to be a respectful analysis. But hey, that’s bad guys for ya!
Wiz: Adam’s story is one of caution. While Adam likely started as justified and within his right to be angry at the humans who hurt him, that anger became misplaced. And he soon lost himself in revenge and hatred.

Wiz: The Omnic Crisis. A war brought about by the Omnics, a series of highly advanced robots that can think, feel, and even have will of their own. Though the corporation that created them shut down due to corporate fraud allegations, their factories sprung to life, waging war against humanity all across the world.
Boomstick: How humans managed to survive a literal endless factory of soldiers is beyond me, but hey, we’re tricky little bastards. Mostly because the UN assembled a cracked out group of super soldiers to go on secret missions and all that jazz to take out the factories themselves, preventing more and more Omnics being created.
Wiz: Eventually, peace was found. But it came at a heavy toll. Not every Omnic was made for fighting, after all. Thus, the God Program AI Anubis, created them. Including the Bastion and Ravager units, the latter acting as commanders for the Omnic units, while the Bastions acted more as shocktroopers.
Bastion: These couldn’t really continue to exist, so they, uh. Were all killed. Well, most of ‘em anyway.
Wiz: With heavy casualties on both sides, the peace made was very fragile. But even still, those on both sides, Omnic and Humans, sought peace with each other. Including Ramattra.
Boomstick: Yeah…Ramattra didn’t start out the way he did. Even as a Ravager unit, he only ever wanted a better future for his people. Laying down his weapons after the war had ended, he survive the extinction of the Ravager units and found the Shambali Monastery. It’s religion, but for robots!
Wiz: He eventually become close friends with another Omnic he brought into the fold, one named Zenyatta. The two became close as brothers, frequently discussing their lives and the future of Omnic society.
Boomstick: But because some humans can’t let other people have a good thing, a buncha anti-omnics nearly killed him. He eventually grew more and more disillusioned with the Shambali and the other Omnics who sought co-existence with humans. And that disillusionment quickly turn to pure and utter hatred.
Wiz: Ramattra left the Shambali, choosing to seek out others who thought the way he did. Even upgrading himself in the interim, creating his Nemesis Form. A large, hulking robotic form that shirks his staff in place solely his fists.
Boomstick: Eventually he found his allies, and with them, he founded the Omnic Rights Terrorist Group: Null Sector. Though his group started small, that all changed once he and his allied travelled back to the very same factory where he had been built. And he managed to gain access to its control center, once again activating its assembly lines.
Wiz: Now with an army at his disposal, he sought his sights on the first major mission of Null Sector. Targeting London, a city which Ramattra deemed one of the “cruelest cities” to his fellow Omnics. Though he received pushback from his allies, deeming the robots he created as being out of date.
Boomstick: Despite that, Ramattra pushed the plan forward. Annnnnnnnnnnnnd thanks to Overwatch, who violated the country’s law regarding their operations, his plans went kaput. Which only radicalized him further, especially after seeing a fellow Omnic denounce him. Deciding that he’d liberate his people whether they wanted him to or not.
Wiz: Being a former Ravager unit, Ramattra served in the Omnic Crisis through its entirety. A war that lasted around three to five years, and despite the fact that he tossed down his former weapons, that combat experience has clearly stuck with him.
Boomstick: Being a self-described liberator, in Overwatch proper, Ramattra falls under the Tank class. Being able to prop up a shield, and his nanoball which spreads a void field that slows down his enemies and pulls them closer to the ground. And of course his main weapon of choice, his staff, which shoots out an incredibly fast volley of void projectiles from that funky orb inside of it.
Wiz: But the main area that Ramattra’s power comes from is his Nemesis Form. His punches letting loose waves of energy with every punch, pummeling through barriers and defenses. And the Nemesis Form arms are strong enough to possibly handle defending against D. Va’s mech explosion. when he holds them in front of his body. Granted, there are reasons why that point of comparison may be a bit overblown
Boomstick: The explosion in D.Va's cinematic is much bigger than her explosion in-game, and plus, it's only when Ramattra is blocking in his Nemesis Form, which has a time limit until he can use it again. For when he’s out of Nemesis Form, Mei’s Ultimate Ability is something he can survive…well, technically. He’d probably get shot in the head afterwards, which-
Wiz: Point being, for Mei’s Ultimate to freeze that amount of space and people in it, her helper would have to be outputting 217 tons of TNT. The point of the original comparison, however, was to to show that Nemesis Form greatly enhances Ramattra's capabilities.
Boomstick: And speaking of Ultimate abilities, when Ramattra has powered up enough, he can unleash a swarm of energy that surrounds him and latches onto anyone near Ramattra. And as long as he sticks near people, Annihilation keeps going until they kick the bucket!
Wiz: Being an Omnic as well provides several advantages for Ramattra. Being a robot, he doesn’t quite feel the same exhaustion that humans do. Meaning he can keep going much longer in a fight than the average person. Not to mention that Omnics in general can adjust perceptions in stimuli in a microfraction of a microsecond.
Boomstick: Granted, that only applies when he’s aware of something coming after him. And even then, based on the wording, that could only apply his perceptions rather than reactions. But considering he can go toe to toe with someone like Genji, whom Zenyatta trained, dude still has a reaction speed of at least 3298 meters a second
Wiz: Ramattra is…complicated. He’s a person who wants his people, who have a finite life, to be able to live. He’s someone who was brought to the brink by the cruelty of humans, and it’s telling that not even his former friend Zenyatta, who seeks peace, can truly condemn his actions.
DEATH BATTLE![]
A man in black stepped out of the helicopter he had arrived in. Snow crunching beneath his feet as he looked up at the towering monuments of buildings he had arrived at.
“So, this is the famous Shamballi Monastery…” He spoke to himself as he walked forward. Night had set upon this place, a peacefulness within it. Especially since it had been fully evacuated after the threat of a terrorist attack from Null Sector.
But he knew the truth of the matter.
As he ventured through the halls of the monastery, he eventually found the person he was looking for. Sitting and meditating on a cliff side, quiet and still.
“You’re a difficult man to find, Ramattra.” The red-haired man spoke to the sitting Omnic. Ramattra not even turning to look at the man addressing him.
“I prefer the solitude.” After a moment of silence, Ramattra stood up. His long cables in the form of dreadlocks gently moving in the frozen breeze as he turned to look at the person visiting him. The figure’s eyes being covered by a mask, hiding his gaze from the Omnic liberator. “And so, Adam Taurus, what do I owe this unexpected meeting with The White Fang?”
Adam scoffed at this as he began pacing back and forth, hands behind his back.
“I wish to offer the possibility of an alliance to Null Sector.” Adam finally spoke as he turned his head towards the Omnic. A small chuckle escaping Ramattra’s manufactured vocal cords.
“Ahh, I see. Fascinating.” Ramattra began to walk forward, the snow crunching under his mechanical feet as he got closer to Adam. “Naturally, we have common ground with the Faunus. Humanity despises us all the same.”
“Then you will join us?” Adam questioned, voice barely rising from his last statement. A scoff coming out of Ramattra’s databanks as he was now much, much closer to Adam. His Omnic form towering over the Faunus, yet Adam stood unwavering.
“Humanity despises us both, yes…and yet.” Ramattra turned his back towards Adam and he walked back to his cliff. Adam’s face now changed, to one of annoyance as Ramattra continued to speak. “I do not recall The White Fang ever assisting us when we needed it.”
“Nor do I recall Null Sector ever assisting us in our times of need.” Adam retorted, causing a small chuckle to come from Ramattra. As he turned his head back towards Adam.
“You can chalk that up to your kind being no different than humans when it comes to the treatment of us Omnics.” The venom dripped from Ramattra’s voice. He had very little patience for Adam Taurus as it stood. And Adam himself was getting increasingly frustrated with Ramattra’s lack of willingness to negotiate. Adam opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by Ramattra once again.
“And do not act so coy, Taurus. I know the reason why you are here. You wish for assistance in that attack on ‘Haven’.” Ramattra fully turned to face Adam now, staff summoned to his side as he raised it towards Adam. “I have no wish to meddle in the affairs of humans. And here I thought you may be better than that.”
“Your assistance is certainly not needed in that attack.” Adam scoffed at Ramattra’s accusation. Anger beginning to well in him as Ramattra’s accusations struck. “I merely thought we would have a common goal. But I suppose your kind has no interest in victory.”
“Oh? Is that so?” Ramattra couldn’t help but let out a loud fit of laughter at Adam’s words. “You assume The White Fang can acquire victory all by itself?”
The bottom of Ramattra’s staff clanked as it pierced through the snow on the ground, hitting the stone floor underneath it. Ramattra’s tone of voice becoming much darker than it had been throughout this entire conversation.
“When you can’t even snuff out the civil war that is brewing underneath your nose thanks to the Belladonna family?”
Adam’s eye twitched at that name. His right hand quickly gripping the hilt of his blade, causing Ramattra to laugh once more.
“Ahhh, and so you turn to violence when you do not get your way. Tell me, how are you so different than the very humans you despise, faunus?”
Adam took a moment to respond. As he crouched down and forward slightly, ready to strike.
“Let me show you, Omnic.”
FIGHT!
(Anarchy Reigns - My Town, My City)
Adam dashed forward with a burst of speed, easily closing the gap between Ramattra and Adam. The sound of a gunshot being fired as Wilt burst forward from its scabbard in a matter of moments as Adam grabbed ahold of the hilt. Swinging his blade in one swift motion.
*CLANG*
And yet, the Omnic proved to be just as fast. Raising his staff to defend against Adam’s sudden attack, as the blade clashed with the length of Ramattra’s staff.
“So predictable.” Ramattra replied, raising his left hand and delivering a left hook to Adam’s face. Sending the Faunus reeling as Ramattra gathered energy in that same left hand.
“KNEEL.”
Shooting the purple device down towards Adam’s feet, a column of energy erected from the ground towards the sky. Adam felt himself become sluggish and gravity becoming heavier and heavier on him. Forcing him to one knee as he struggled to breathe, as Ramattra let out a low laugh.
“What nonsense.” Rammatra coldly stated after composing himself, pointing the tip of his staff at Adam’s head. As the orb within the scepter began to glow. Yet another clang was heard as Adam managed to muster the strength to knock Ramattra’s staff to the side, interrupting his aim as the ravenous vortex dissipated. Sheathing his blade as Adam prepared another attack, Ramattra took swift precautions. Quickly sticking his left hand out and raised up a purple barrier just as the sound of another gunshot rang out. Adam’s blade banging uselessly against the opaque, blue shield that Ramattra summoned.
Ramattra began to move backwards as he raised his staff towards Adam; a volley of void needles firing from the orb within the scepter. Passing through the shield as Adam rapidly parried each and every projectile, his blade glowing with each direct hit to his katana.
“Enough!” Adam sheathed Wilt once more as he crouched forward, his hair and the markings on his mask glowing a bright red.
*BANG*
The sound of the gunshot rang out as a massive wave of red energy blasted forth from Adam’s sword. Shattering the shield into bits as it charged towards Ramattra at incredible speeds. And soon the Omnic was engulfed in the blast, Adam sheathing his blade as he stood up confidently. Yet as the dust settled, Ramattra stood firm as well. His body shifted, his staff deposited into the nooks and crannies of his robotic body. His normal arms were crossed, and sprouting out from his back were a pair of massive, hulking arms that were crossed across Ramattra’s body. Protecting him from the likely fatal blow of Adam’s Moonslice. His mechanical veins glowing with the same purple energy he exuded throughout the entire fight.
His hulking arms uncrossing as Ramattra’s eyes met with Adam’s mask. A verbal smirk appeared in his voice as he spoke.
“Is that all?” Adam gritted his teeth and his brow narrowed as he bolted forward once more, the same sheathe and fire maneuver in play as he reached Ramattra’s position in a matter of microseconds. Yet as the sword fired from its scabbard, Ramattra merely responded by grabbing the blade mid-swing in his hulking left hand. Using his right to deliver a “jab”, if it could be called that, to Adam’s stomach. The force of the punch combined with the void energy behind it caused Adam to be launched flying into the mountain side. The sickening sound of his back cracking against the stone titan as he felt the wind get knocked out of his lungs. Body crumpling into the snow, as Ramattra held Wilt in his hand. Tossing it to the side uselessly as he began to slowly walk towards the downed Adam.
“So, this is the new leader of The White Fang?” Ramattra spoke as his robotic feet crunched against the snow beneath them. “Preposterous.”
Adam struggled to gather his bearings, weakly pulling himself to his knees as his breathing grew harsh and shallow. His eyes were not on the titan walking towards him, however. But rather his blade, tossed uselessly into the snow. His eyes moving back and forth between Ramattra and Wilt, before pulling himself off the ground and making a mad dash towards his sword. Though of course, Ramattra would not allow him to regain his weapon. Sticking out his massive right arm to lariat Adam before he got close, with him in turn somersaulting over the arm.
As if it all played out in slow motion, Ramattra turned to face the upside-down Adam as he pulled his scabbard from his side. Pointing the hole where his sword would be sheathed at Ramattra. Ramattra realizing a second too late why looking directly at Adam’s scabbard was a mistake.
*BANG*
The bullet fired from Blush shot Ramattra directly in his right eye, causing him to wince as his vision went haywire for a few moments. Giving Adam all the time he needed to grab Wilt from the snow. Sheathing it in Blush as Ramattra let out a guttural roar, charging Adam down. The calm before the storm as the two once more came to a direct clash.
*BANG*
The sound of Wilt firing from Blush right before the crackle of electricity filled the empty air. Ramattra having grabbed ahold of the blade once more, but this time, its sharp edges lodged into his palm. The electricity crackled from his right hand as it held the blade still. Yet a smirk still appeared on Adam’s face. Uncrossing his normal arms while still holding the blade, Ramattra removed the bullet from his eye as he casually tossed it to the side.
“So be it.”
Ramattra’s hulking arms retracted as he retrieved his staff returned back into his right hand. As the force of Adam’s swing caused him to lurch forward, Ramattra using the opportunity to swing at him with the pointed top of his scepter. Adam casually dodging out of the way as he swung his blade at Rammatra, the Omnic parrying the attack his staff before slamming the bottom of it into Adam’s shin. The sound of bone cracking barely causing Adam to even flinch as he kept up his responses; raising Blush to Ramattra’s head as he fired another shot. Though unlike before the bullet was dodged as Rammatra continued this dance. Using his staff as hook as he snared Adam’s neck in it, spinning in place and using the momentum to throw Adam face first into the snow. Though he quickly pulled himself off of the ground, rolling into a crouched position as he fired Blush towards Ramattra’s head.
The Omnic casually raised his hand once more, raising the same blue shield in front of Adam’s face as his bullet’s useless disappeared into the shield. Ramattra returning fire with his staff by launching a volley of void projectiles towards Adam; the Faunus dodging out of the way as he moved around the shield. Charging down Ramattra once more, parrying each and every projectile that was aimed his way and maneuvering out of the ones that did not meet his blade. Sheathing Wilt once more as he got close to Ramattra, the sound of a bullet echoing through the air.

Ramattra’s form had changed once more. His second set of arms protected him from the strike of Adam’s more precise Moonslice. Rather than a massive wave of energy let loose, this attack was a clean move aiming to take Ramattra’s head. And while Ramattra survived…the damage had nonetheless been done. A clean slash mark had appeared across his arms, as bare wires drooped from his exposed wounds. Crackling with electricity as he lowered his arms, his eyes gazing back at Adam who sheathed his blade.
“You…will not make me yield.”
Adam opened his mouth to respond to Ramattra’s words, but before he could speak, he felt himself pulled to the ground. Before Adam’s Moonslice had connected, Ramattra dropped a Ravenous Vortex at their feet. Causing Adam to slow and feel gravity’s force as he was knocked down to his knees. Ramattra grabbing the base of Adam’s next as he began to slam his Nemesis Form’s fist into the back of his skull. The combination of the force of the attacks and gravity being heavier causing blood to seep down onto Adam’s face.
*WHAM*
One final slam, utilizing both his fists as he returned to his normal, Omnic form. Grabbing Adam by the throat with his left hand as he lifted him up into the air. Adam’s gurgles and gasps for life coming through as his grip around Adam’s throat tightened. Though his eyes were not visible through the slits in his facial structure, Ramattra seethed at the man who dared to attack him in his former home. A place of sanctity and peace.
*BANG*
“GRAH!!” Ramattra screamed the hilt of Adam’s blade struck him in the face. Adam firing Blush at his knees in combination, causing Ramattra to lose his grip on Adam’s throat. As Adam placed his foot on Ramattra’s chest, scaling him like a wall as he pressed off of Ramattra’s face and somersaulting into the air as he grabbed his blade. Taking aim with Blush as he fired another shot at the Omnic’s skull.
…
“Tsk. Firearms.” Ramattra held the bullet between his pointer finger and his thumb. Righting his position after the attacks Adam had made. Casually flicking the bullet back at Adam, which he just as casually deflected with his blade. “I can appreciate the improvements made, however. A rifle that doubles as a sheathe. Fascinating!”
Yet Adam did not respond, merely charging Ramattra once more as the Omnic shifted into his Nemesis Form. Another dance of strikes and blows followed suit, neither one of them giving the other an inch as Adam slashed and Ramattra’s fists flew.
*BANG* *SCHWING*
Yet still, the upper hand was gained. As a slash was raised across Ramattra’s chest, forcing the Omnic to stumble backwards.
*BANG* *SCHWING*
Another. Forcing Ramattra even further back as he raised his arms in front of his body, his Nemesis Form preventing him from taking more damage, but forcing him further and further back. His back facing towards the open sky as his feet nearly reached the edge of the cliffside they found themselves fighting at.
“Goodbye.”
*BANG*
Adam let final swing of Wilt, though this one was not aimed at Ramattra. Though it spelled his demise in either case. Rather at his feet, as the slash appeared in the floor of the mountainside Ramattra was standing on. The ground beginning to slide off as Ramattra’s balance became unstable, eventually crumbling away as Ramattra grabbed onto the edge of the cliffside with his regular left hand before he fell. Adam confidently striding up to the fallen Omnic as he loomed over him, a smirk on his face.
“And so ends Null Sector.” Stabbing Wilt into the back of Ramattra’s palm, causing Ramattra to scream as his hand spasmed.
“You…” Ramattra growled as his Nemesis Form hands raised into the air, futiley grasping for Adam who was just out of reach. That same, self-confident smirk on Adam’s face as he watched the Omnic struggle.
“Your ARROGANCE dooms you, Faunus!” Ramattra yelled as a Ravenous Vortex was shot of his left hand. The circular pillar of gravitational energy pulling Adam down. Further and further onto his hands and knees, as Ramattra’s Nemesis Form hands grabbed onto the Faunus’ clothing. Adam quickly panicking and struggling to release Ramattra’s grip, but by now it was too late. Tossing Adam over himself and down into the pit below. Adam’s screams slowly growing quieter as he fell.
Though for Ramattra, it was not a victory earned. As the piece of cliff that he was holding onto began to crumble as he too was taken by the abyss of the mountain, the wind rushing through his back as he fell. And fast. Eventually landing back first into the snow beneath with a loud crack as he bounced slightly upwards upon impact. Though Ramattra yet lived, pulling himself out of the snow with a groan as he surveyed his surroundings…yet as he looked, Adam was no where to be found.
“Now where did you scurry off to, Faunus?” Ramattra asked the howling wind, though he was certain that Adam could hear him speak. And as the red in Adam’s hair and the markings on his mask glowed under the shadow of the mountain behind Ramattra, Adam was prepared to make those words Ramattra’s last.
*BANG*
The sound of Wilt firing from Blush rang out as Adam let loose a precise Moonslice aimed at Ramattra’s neck. Yet the Omnic still proved himself to be more than capable of dealing with Adam’s strikes, even when unprepared. Swiftly turning around and clapping his Nemesis form’s hands, catching Adam’s blade within them.
“Found you.” Releasing the grasp on Adam’s sword, Ramattra delivered a fist directly towards Adam’s chest. Sending the Faunus stumbling backwards as Ramattra continued his assault, delivering each energy-ladened blow one after another. Continuously pushing Adam back until his back was fully against the mountain. One more pummel to his stomach, then to his face. Then to his face. Then to his face again. As the back of Adam’s skull was being lodged into the mountain itself, the stone cracked to fit his head into it.
Yet, oddly enough, Ramattra halted his fist. As Adam’s mask shattered, and the pieces fell into the bloody snow beneath. Ramattra saw the branding that had been inflicted upon Adam by humans. Not unlike the cruelty that had been caused to the Omnics by the very same humans. A fact that Ramattra had lost during the fight. A sigh leaving his voice as he lowered his fist. Shifting out of his Nemesis form as he retrieved his staff which had fallen into the snow. Adam’s bloody and beaten form slumping up against the mountain he had been pressed into.
“I had lost that we shared a common enemy. My apologies, Taurus.” Ramattra turned his back, and he hobbled his injured form towards the path back up the mountain. Yet even being given his life, Adam grit his teeth into a disgusted frown. The taste of blood fresh in his mouth as his eyebrows furrowed. Even though his Aura was nearly depleted, Adam stood up shakily. Not leaving this fight unfinished.
“Don’t you dare pity me!” Adam roared, charging down Ramattra with his sword drawn. A large, red wave of energy followed suit as Adam swung his blade. As Ramattra let out a disappointed sigh before side stepping the blast without even turning around. Though he did turn to face Adam once again, the now near-snarled beast of a man forgoing any sense of style or skill to his swordsmanship. Swinging it towards Ramattra who parried the strike with the length of his staff. The pair engaged in melee combat as they swung their respective weapons at each other. Neither one’s strikes meeting one another. Each one of Ramattra staff blows were parried by Adam’s blade, and each one of Adam’s wild slashes were dodged.
Yet still, the difference in their biology became apparent. While both were spurned by humans, the Faunus were much more like them than the Omnics. As such, Adam’s stamina began to wane. While Ramattra’s stood consistent throughout their entire fight. While Adam’s strikes grew sloppy and sluggish, Ramattra’s only continued to be refined and perfect.
And eventually, Ramattra knocked Adam back first into the snow. His Aura finally shattering as Ramattra’s pierced the man’s chin with the tip of his scepter, lifting Adam into the air by it. The Faunus’ breath growing weak with every passing moment.
“You arrogant fool.” Ramattra shook his head. Disappointment apparent in his voice. “You would throw away everything for the sake of your pride?”
Adam coughed up blood as he began to speak, though the words were near garbled and near incomprehensible. Yet they reached Ramattra either way.
“Are those…your words…or Lanet’s?” A dark chuckle left Ramattra’s voice banks. As his body suddenly shifted into its Nemesis form, catching Adam in his hulked-out hand by his face before he fell back into the snow.
“No more words then.” Ramattra spoke. He was no longer merely disappointed in Adam’s choices. He was angered by the gall to dare bring up a former comrade of his. “I will speak to you only in the language that you, Adam Taurus, will understand.”
Suddenly, an outpouring of energy exuded from Ramattra’s Nemesis form. The same void energy that powered his staff now poured out from every nook and cranny of Ramattra’s Omnic body. As it tethered onto the grappled Adam Taurus.
“VIOLENCE.”
The void energy of Annihilation seeped its way into every pore of Adam’s body. He felt his very essence, his life force, be drained away by the outburst of power that Ramattra was emitting. The purple field that he was surrounded by being the main source as he suffered within Ramattra’s grasp.
“So, this…is the power…Omnics wield.” Adam shakily reached for his blade as Annihilation drained Adam’s gasps of failing breath. And as he gripped the hilt of his blade…

*BANG*
“Pathetic.”
“What…?” Ramattra was stunned as Adam still managed to fire Wilt from Blush, cleanly slicing the Nemesis form arm that was holding Adam up off of Ramattra’s body. Adam quickly slamming Blush into Ramattra’s throat as he propelled himself off of it and out of the range of Annihilation. Adam taking in several, rapid breaths as he tried to regain the energy that Annihilation had drained from him.
Ramattra’s Nemesis faltered as well as Annihilation faded, no longer having a target to be powered by. He watched as Adam crouched forward, preparing to launch yet another attack. No longer capable of using Moonslice. And Ramattra no longer able to use his Nemesis form. As Adam charged forward, Ramattra threw out a Ravenous Vortex, one that Adam’s speed easily allowed him to circumvent. It would all come down to one final strike between the two combatants’ weapons of choice.
*BANG*
…
For a moment…there was silence between the two fighters. As the two fighters ended up on opposite ends with how they started. Ramattra having swung his staff with enough force to level a building, and Adam having taken one final precise slash of his blade.
“Your arrogance…” Ramattra spoke as both him and Adam fell to their knees. Adam coughed up blood as he clutched his chest, feeling the blood staining his black garments from the wound Ramattra had made with the end of his scepter.
“Will unmake you…eventually.”
Ramattra’s voice slowed and eventually grew quiet as the top half of his body slid off of the lower half. His staff fell into the snow as the finite Omnic generation lost another life. Adam pulled himself off the ground, using his sword as a crutch to pry himself off his knees. Spitting blood into the snow as he hobbled away.
“Doubtful.”

Boomstick: GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!!!
Wiz: A fair response. And to be fair, this was a very close fight.
Boomstick: You say that about everything.
Wiz: Well, I- okay, yes, but I actually mean it this time. Both Adam and Ramattra had sizable advantages over each other.
Boomstick: Let’s start with what Ramattra had over Adam. While Adam could fire Blush like a rifle, it paled in comparison to Ramattra’s shield, his void needles, and his Ravenous Vortex in terms of ranged options. If Ramattra could consistently keep Adam at bay, there was a chance that he could score a kill through war of attrition. Especially since Omnics don’t really get tired like humans or Faunus do.
Wiz: Ramattra also, by virtue of being an Omnic, could perceive changes in stimuli in a microfraction of a microsecond. However, there is an important point to consider there. Namely that is only perception speed and has never been shown to be applicable in combat. And in terms of movement speed, Ramattra and Adam are pretty close. Both could move at about Subsonic speeds based on in-game Overwatch movement speeds and the fact that Adam could create afterimages of himself in his fight with Yang and Blake.
Boomstick: Remember in the Tracer cinematic when Widowmaker shoots that Omnic dude? If all Omnics were capable of doing that, then there shouldn’t have been a worry for him when it came to a simple bullet.
Wiz: Now, you could make the argument that Omnics must be aware of the threat they’re in to be capable of dodging the attack. Which is certainly possible, however, Adam actually had ways to circumvent this potential massive reaction speed gap.
Boomstick: If you compare the two’s highest points of attack power, Adam comes out over twice as strong as Ramattra. And that’s even before considering the fact that Adam is way stronger than one member of Team RWBY! It took both Blake and Yang to take down Adam, after all.
Wiz: And while Ramattra can tank Ultimate Abilities such as D. Va’s mech explosion which amounts to 2 kilotons of TNT, that is only a point of durability and only while Ramattra is in his Nemesis form defending himself as mentioned in his analysis. There is nothing to suggest that Ramattra is capable of outputting as much power as D. Va’s explosion normally, unlike Adam being compared directly to the members of Team RWBY. While Ramattra could effectively turtle up for as long as his Nemesis form lasted, he wouldn’t be making any progress in the way of actually hurting Adam.
Boomstick: Basically, Adam only needs only a few good hits to put down Ramattra, while Ramattra needed many more. And remember when we said there was a reaction speed gap? Reaction is the key word there. When it comes to AOE attacks, which Moonslice was capable of, there’s no guarantee he would be able to escape them in time.
Wiz: And speaking of Moonslice, while Ramattra did have a sizable ranged advantage, that would end up actually being a problem for him. As long as Adam blocks attacks with his blade, they only continue to power up Moonslice. Meaning that while Nemesis Form could power up Ramattra, Moonslice did the same. And the more Ramattra tried to play a ranged fight, the stronger Adam became.
Boomstick: Unfortunately, Ramattra couldn’t really play a waiting game against Adam. And Adam’s Aura only served to make things even harder for Ramattra to squeeze out a win. One superpowered Moonslice from Adam that Ramattra didn’t see coming and robo-Magneto was pretty toast. While Adam’s reliance on his sword gave him a weakness that Ramattra didn’t have, there was no guarantee that Ramattra would be able to pry it away from him before Adam got the kill.
Wiz: Ramattra absolutely could have managed to kill Adam several times out of 100 scenarios of course. Ramattra was much smarter and less prone to outbursts, giving him an edge in terms of his mental state. But against an opponent who had much more in the way of power and skill, Ramattra simply couldn’t close the gaps that mattered.
Boomstick: Ramattra may have been able to null-ify most attacks tossed at him, but Adam’s strength and swordsmanship was simply a cut above the rest.
Wiz: The Winner is Adam Taurus.
