Description[]
Avatar vs. My Hero Academia! These two kids are the successors to heroes, but in a fight to the death, only one will live up to their legacy while the other will be the last of their line.
Trailer[]
Yeah, this is a pretty bad trailer. But in my defense, this is my first time ever making a trailer or editing. I promise I'll improve in the future.
Interlude[]
Ranger: Heroes are always someone you can rely on when you're in danger.
Advance: Unfortunately, they don't live forever. But you needn't worry though as their will always be another hero to take their place.
Ranger: Like Izuku Midoriya, the ninth user of One For All. and All Might's son
Advance: And Aang, the last airbender.
Ranger: He's Advance, and I'm Ranger!
Advance: And it's our job to analyze their armor, weapons, and skill to find out who would win a death battle!
Aang Bends Death Battle![]
Intro:[]
Advance: Water. Fire. Earth. Air. These four elements make up the world of Avatar and separate the nations. But one day, the Fire Nation attacked.
Ranger: There was only one person who could stop them: the Avatar, master of all elements. But one day, he disappeared, and the world never saw the Avatar again.
Advance: Until 100 years later, the Avatar along with his bison was found frozen by two kids: Sokka and Katara. The young Avatar was named Aang, the last air nomad. He ran away from home from when he found out that he was the Avatar.
Ranger: Now freed, Aang went on a journey to master the elements and defeat the Fire Lord Ozai before he obtained Sozin's Comet and took over the world. You know how these things usually go.
Abilities:[]
Advance: Just as we said, as the Avatar, Aang has the ability to use the four elements. Starting off with his original element, Aang has the ability to control air. He can control the air currents to help him glide, create whirlwinds to blast away foes, amp his speed by decreasing wind resistance, or make an air scooter to climb up surfaces.
Ranger: With Waterbending, he can control water and make waves to push people away or shoot balls of water. It's also possible that he can use ice, but we've never seen him do it so it's unlikely he knows how to.
Advance: Earthbending allows Aang to control the earth. With this, he can shoot rocks, move pillars, and use earth armor to protect himself from attacks and fire.
Ranger: This kid brings a whole new meaning to "rock on."
Advance: There's the final and strongest element: fire. Aang can shoot fireballs and make slashes of fire which can act as offense and defense. And unlike the other elements which need an existing source, Aang can generate fire on his own.
Ranger: That's not all, however. Aang can access the Avatar State. In which, his bending abilities are increased and he gains access to the knowledge and experience of all the past Avatars.
Advance: But his most powerful technique would be energybending. He can bend someone's life force and use it to take away their bending.
Ranger: That's where you're wrong, pal. His most powerful bending would be girlbending.
Advance: Wha-what's girlbending?
Ranger: With the mighty power of girlbending, he can make any girl bend over for him.
Advance: Ranger, he's 12, you weirdo!
Intelligence/Skill:[]
Ranger: Don't let his childish nature. This kid is pretty damn talented.
Advance: At the age of 12, he had already mastered 35 out of the 36 airbending techniques. Hell, he even created his own personal technique, the Air Scooter. And it didn't take him more than a few days to learn other elements like earthbending or firebending.
Ranger: Like we've said before, it gets better with the Avatar State. He has 10,000 years worth of intelligence and experience from all of the past users.
Physicals:[]
Advance: Aang may be a pacifist, but he sure as hell ain't weak but you wouldn't know that from looking at his battle record. Starting off, he can partially block the explosions of Combustion Man, whose explosions destroyed several pillars! This feat comes out to 1.5 tons, but we'll half it to 0.75 tons.
Ranger: Aang threw several rocks at Ozai's ship, generating 35 tons of tnt! He also flung several large boulders which was 221 tons of tnt!
Advance: In an attempt to extinguish the fire near Wulong Forest, Aang used his waterbending to raise the sea-level. This feat comes out to Town level, or 32 kilotons!
Ranger: Using his firebending, Aang created a massive cyclone of fire to fuel his stomp which was calculated at 362 tons of tnt!
Advance: But the Avatar State is where Aang's power truly shines. He no-diffed Ozai, who created a fire dome which is 2 kilotons of tnt. And he should scale to his successor Korra, who deflected the energy of the Spirit Cannon which is over 3 megatons of tnt! In case you didn't know, that's over 20 times the power of the Little Boy Bomb that destroyed Hiroshima.
Ranger: Durability...is definitely not where Aang excels. But uh, it's still impressive. He can survive a cave-in, and take hits from a spirit which could destroy part of a building!
Advance: He can tank a mini explosion caused by Zuko and get back up almost right away. Zuko's flames can match Combustion Man's explosions which, as we've mentioned before, can produce 1.5 tons of tnt!
Ranger: It's quite peculiar to see a character whose attack potency isn't comparable to his durability. However, he won't have to worry about that when's he got speed. And take this from me, he's got some damn good speed.
Advance: He is capable of redirecting lightning from Azula who can use lightning bending. It's probably real lightning as Zuko implied that he could redirect natural lightning when he was learning how to.
Ranger: This feat is backed up by him scaling to Zuko who could also intercept Azula's lightning. The feat was calculated at Mach 500, or Massively Hypersonic!
Flaws:[]
Advance: Despite the immense power he holds as the Avatar, Aang still has some flaws.
Ranger: Above all else, Aang is a pacifist who hates killing unless his friends are in danger.
Advance: Aside from firebending, he needs an outside source to bend the elements.
Ranger: Still, as the Avatar, Aang will always maintain the balance of the world.
Quote:[]
Aang: You know what the worst part of being born over a hundred years ago is? I miss all the friends I used to hang out with. Before the war started, I used to always visit my friend Kuzon. The two of us, we’d get in and out of so much trouble together. He was one of the best friends I ever had, and he was from the Fire Nation just like you. If we knew each other back then, do you think we could have been friends too?
Izuku Midoriya Goes Beyond In Death Battle![]
Intro:[]
Advance: Welcome, my dear readers, to My Hero Academia. In this world, most of the population has a special power that's unique to them which is known as a Quirk.
Ranger: Some of these Quirks are really cool like for example Mina's Acid or Hari's Chronostasis which slows down whoever was hit with it! But, some people have really lame powers like inflating their heads or being able to stretch their eyeballs. How unlucky can you get?
Advance: Very unlucky. 20% of the population don't even have Quirks including our combatant, Izuku Midoriya. And to make things worst, he was picked on by everyone, even who was once his best friend, Katsuki Bakugou.
Ranger: That's unfortunate. But despite this, he never gave up on his dream to become like All Might, the number 1 hero in Japan.
Advance: Speaking of All Might, while Izuku was walking home one day, a sludge villain attacked him.
Ranger: This looks like someone's fetish.
Advance: ...Anyways, All Might arrived and "defeated" the villain before Izuku met his maker.
Ranger: Now that he finally met with his idol, he asked him if he could ever become a hero. All Might told him that he was capable of do-
Advance: Uh, no he didn't.
Ranger: Excuse me?
Advance: He told him that he couldn't be a hero without a Quirk.
Ranger: Wow. Some hero All Might is.
Advance: After leaving Izuku on the rooftop, alone and heartbroken, All Might tries to grab the bottle containing the Sludge Villain...only to find out it wasn't there.
Ranger: As it turns out, he dropped the bottle while he was in the air.
Advance: The Sludge Villain was free to escape and find a new host. It did in the form of Izuku's bully, Katsuki Bakugou. It took him hostage, and no pro hero was able to save him due to the Sludge Villain's fluid body.
Ranger: Why didn't All Might step in? He beat him before, and he could do it again.
Advance: There's a problem with that. His time limit had run out.
Ranger: Well, that's unfortunate. Meanwhile, Izuku was feeling immense regret for making All Might drop his bottle. But after seeing the terrified and distressed look in Katsuki's eyes, he took off to try and save his rival. Of course, he was almost killed, but All Might went beyond his limits and transformed into his hero form to save them.
Advance: Seeing Izuku's bravery and selflessness inspired All Might. So he chased after Deku after the interviews and told him he could be a hero with the use of his Quirk, One For All, a Quirk passed on from user to user.
Ranger: Now with a new Quirk, he could finally become what he always wanted to be: a hero.
Abilities:[]
Advance: Let's talk about the powers that Deku obtained. One For All gives the user an immense boost in terms of strength, speed, durability, and mobility. And because of the strength enhancement, he can utilize wind pressure for long-ranged attacks or taking to the air.
Ranger: With this, he can perform several of All Might's smash techniques like the Detroit Smash, a straightforward punch. The air current produced by this attack is powerful enough to bust through all of the floors of a large building!
Advance: The Delaware Smash is an air current producing by flicking his finger. It's powerful enough to smash through Shoto Todoroki's glaciers which eclipsed half of the stadium from the U.A. Tournament!
Ranger: So let me get this straight, Deku made a shockwave by snapping his fingers? This kid is starting to remind me of a certain titan. Hey readers, wanna know what happens when the Detroit Smash and Delaware Smash have a child?
Advance: You get the 1,000,000% Delaware Detroit Smash. It's capable of leaving a crater in a cliff and knocking out Muscular even with his muscle fibers.
Ranger: For reference, Muscular's muscle fibers were strong enough to tank Izuku's normal 100% smashes. We'll get into the power of 100% later.
Advance: The Wyoming Smash is an attack in which Izuku uses 100% in both of his arms and bashes an opponent's head.
Ranger: Oof, Shiggy is gonna need the hospital after that one. Next up is his Texas Smash. He releases a punch so intense, it makes a blast of air that can cover a city in seconds! I knew Texas has a lot of bad storms, but this one takes the cake! Hold on, if Izuku knows so many Smash techniques, why hasn't he gotten laid-
Advance: There was a bit of a problem however. Izuku kept destroying his body over and over again. Despite his training, his body was still unable to handle 100%.
Ranger: But with the internship of All Might's old menton, Gran Torino, Izuku learned how lessen his percentage and spread through his body rather than relying on one monster attack in the form of Full Cowling.
Advance: At first, he was limited to only 5% of his power. But as he grew stronger, he could user higher percentages from 8% to 100%. As of now, 45% is his base.
Ranger: He made another fighting style to also lessen his arm damage: Shoot Style. With this, Izuku's attacks focus on his much stronger legs.
Advance: Starting off with this is St. Louis Smash in which Deku delivers an opponent a roundhouse kick. A variant of this is St. Louis Smash: Air Force. He releases a wind pressure blast by kicking the air. It could break enough ground to stop Shigaraki's Decay wave by producing a lot of rubble.
Ranger: Lastly, there's the Manchester Smash, a downward kick so powerful, it shatters the ground to the point where Overhaul couldn't fully retaliate with his Quirk.
Advance: However, Izuku doesn't just have the normal powers from the base One For All. He has obtained the Quirks of the past users.
Ranger: The first (and arguably, the best) Quirk is Blackwhip. He can summon tentacles of dark energy from anywhere on his body. I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going.
Advance: Ranger! Back to what we were saying, Blackwhip is primarily used to restrain someone or gain extra mobility by swinging around. He has created two Super Moves with this Quirk.
Ranger: Those would be Froppy Style, where Deku shoots a tendril out of his mouth like his friend Tsuyu Asui, and Pinpoint Focus, a fast-paced tendril that's meant to be used as an attack.
Advance: Next up is Float. It allows him to float. What else did you expect me to say?
Ranger: I expected you to say that he can achieve full flight by combining Float with his wind blasts.
Advance: Danger Sense is the fourth user's Quirk. It allows Deku to detect any danger in the area.
Ranger: First Blackwhip, now Danger Sense? Heh, Horikoshi really loves Spider-Man, doesn't he?
Advance: Without a doubt. With Danger Sense, he can predict movements, detect hostility/bloodlust, and react to attacks far faster than him.
Ranger: There's Smokescreen, a Quirk that allows Izuku to make a smokescreen, obviously. It's used to either blind someone or to buy some time. It can cover several city blocks.
Advance: Fa Jin allows the user to increase their strength or speed by repeating several motions. It allows him to blitz bullets that were way faster than him in his base.
Ranger: So it's basically One For All but with extra steps?
Advance: Yeah. There's just one difference however. Fa Jin doesn't damage Izuku's body.
Ranger: Last, but definitely not least is Izuku's most powerful form: One For All: Full Cowling 100%. Izuku distributes all of One For All's power throughout his body, and because of this, he looks a like a Dollar Store version of Super Saiyan Blue.
Advance: We would go into how strong this percentage is, but we'll save that for the Physicals section.
Equipment:[]
Ranger: Izuku's equipment isn't half-bad, mainly because there's not much.
Advance: His Costume Gamma has arm braces that help reduce damage to his arms, and he has iron soles that make his kicks hit way harder.
Ranger: His Air Force Gloves allows him to shoot bullets of compressed air which are really helpful for controlling his blasts.
Advance: His Mid Gauntlet lets him safely use 45% without causing strain to his body.
Ranger: Wait a second. First, he attacks by snapping his fingers and now he has a gauntlet!? I knew this kid was related to Thanos! I'll be right back, Advance. I need to tell the world about my newfound discoveries!
Ranger proceeds run through a wall before yelling out something about Beanos.
Advance: Ranger, he's not related to Thanos!
Advance yells out while running after Ranger.
Intelligence/Skill:[]
Advance: Despite all of his equipment and abilities, his most dangerous ability (asides from his fists) would be his intelligence.
Ranger: Ya see, Deku here doesn't just look like a nerd, he is one. Ever since he was a child, Izuku has taken notes on all Pro Heroes, the capabilities of their Quirk, and their fighting styles.
Advance: And thanks to his internship with Sir Nighteye, his analytical skills have increased even further. He can predict the movements of his opponents by studying their fighting style.
Ranger: Speaking of fighting styles, Deku himself is fairly skilled. His fighting technique overwhelmed Shigaraki whose movements were so precise that they could only be achieved through life-or-death training.
Physicals:[]
Advance: Of course, having high intelligence and good abilities don't mean much if you're lacking in stats. Fortunately, Izuku isn't lacking one bit.
Ranger: He can kick through metal bars, destroy earth monsters, and shatter concrete like it's nothing. He also once shattered a large chunk of rock and made them into pebbles.
Advance: He can kick a shield so hard, it produced a small tornado, easily reaching 127.53 tons!
Advance: At 45%, his attacks were enough to harm AFO Shigaraki. He was stated to be comparable to All Might in terms of strength and durability.
Ranger: All Might could make a storm with a shockwave that gives a result of 2.41 gigatons.
Pop-Up: All Might should likely upscale to this because he was weakened when he did this feat.
Advance: Shigaraki should also scale to the High-End Nomu who barely survived an explosion of 6.4 gigatons! The Nomu's durability should at least scale to 2 out of the 10 missiles, so that should give us 1.28 gigatons.
Ranger: However, these feats are all weak in comparison to 100% Deku. With the help of All Might, he shattered a cube that was bigger than the I-Tower which is over 261 kilotons!
Advance: He dispersed a large cloud formation with Bakugou when he was powered by One For All. This feat actually gives us two different values. We can either use the explosion they created which was calced to be 748 megatons, or we could use the feat of them rotating the entire storm. In which, we get over 61 teratons! For those who don't know, that's enough power to destroy a country!
Ranger: Holy shit. What makes this even more impressive is that Izuku should be stronger since he did this with an air current!
Advance: What's just as impressive as his attack potency would be durability. He regularly tanks explosions from his old bully Katsuki Bakugou. Katsuki's damage output should be over 2 kilotons via destroying seven steel cubes with a blast.
Ranger: He can take hits from Muscular who can destroy cliffs with a single punch and can clash with a 100% smash which, as we've said before, is at least capable of outputting 261 kilotons.
Pop-Up: We shouldn't scale Izuku's base durability to Full Cowling 100% as it's somewhat implied that Full Cowling 100% is superior to his normal 100% smash.
Advance: Izuku survived a blast of fire from Dabi who can match Endeavor in a fire clash. Endeavor should be superior to his son's flames which can melt his ice structure in what would be at least 5 minutes, which comes out to 10 kilotons!
Ranger: His best durability feats would taking hits from those who are as strong as him. And to go with his impressive durability, Izuku has some immense endurance. He can keep fighting even with broken bones and burn marks.
Advance: Contrary to what everyone might say on Reddit, Izuku (or MHA in general) is in no way, shape, or form slow.
Ranger: On an everyday basis, he can dodge explosions from Bakugou whose explosions travel at Mach 35!
Advance: Speaking of that angry pomeranian, he can blitz Tokoyami's Dark Shadow. It can intercept Kaminari's electricity Quirk. It's heavily debatable if Kaminari's electricity is normal electricity or lightning, but there's a lot of evidence to suggest it's the latter.
Ranger: It has been called lightning before (and abilities similar to it have been described as lightning as well). It has been shown to send electrical signals, affects his brain. It has also charged electronics and effected cloud-to-ground lightning.
Advance: With this in mind, in order for Dark Shadow to block Kaminari's electricity, he would have to move at Mach 2146!
Ranger: And what makes this even better is that Izuku scales to this at only 5%, so he should actually be much faster.
Advance: His best speed feat would be dodging a laser beam in World Heroes' Mission! It was calc'd to be 0.09 times the speed of light! Oh, and with the Massively Hypersonic+ feat he scales to at 5%, and his feat of dodging a radio wave, it's definitely not an outlier.
Flaws:[]
Advance: But despite the fact that his series is based on comic book heroes, Izuku isn't perfect.
Ranger: Using 100% repeatedly can damage his body greatly though isn't much of a problem because of Izuku's pain tolerance.
Advance: If he's really angry, Blackwhip can spiral out of control.
Ranger: Danger Sense can cause pain to him if there's too many threats or if he's sensing too many negative emotions like sadness or anger.
Advance: Smokescreen can backfire if the opponent gets the drop on him.
Ranger: But regardless of his flaws, Izuku will become the New Symbol of Peace that everyone can rely on.
Quote:[]
Izuku: I'm no longer the useless Deku who can't do anything right... I'm the Deku who gives it his all!
Intermission/Bets[]
Advance: Alright, the combatants are set, and we've run the data through all possibilities.
Ranger: Right now, it's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!
Place your bets in this poll.
Death Battle[]
Location: Random forest near the Fire Nation
(Cue Wild Woods)
It was a peaceful day in the woods. Birds were singing and flowers were blooming (Istg if you don't this reference, i'll eat your parents). It was a perfect environment to take a nice walk. And for a kid, he was doing just that. He was a bald young man who had an arrow as a tattoo. You may think this is just some normal kid, but that wasn't true at all. This boy was Aang, the new Avatar and the last airbender. Aang continued walking on his path until he felt something...
(Stop Music)
A deafening explosion was heard as Aang stumbled from the shockwave. "What was that?" Aang thought. He quickly ran to the source of the explosion. There saw he what caused the explosion. It was a blonde teen with large gauntlets surrounding his hands. This was Katsuki Bakugou, a hero-in-training. He was training in the area. "Stop! You're damaging the forest!" Aang yelled in protest. However, the explosive teen didn't take Aang's demand lightly. "And what are you going to do if I don't?" "If you don't stop, I'll have to make you to stop." Aang responded. "Oh yeah? Then bring it on, you little shit!" Katsuki challenged.
As that little conflict was happening, another hero-in-training happened to be nearby. His hero costume was green which was the same as his emerald eyes and messy hair. This teen's name was Izuku "Deku" Midoriya, the boy who was going to be the New Symbol of Peace and successor to All Might. He was looking around for his childhood friend, Bakugou. "Where did Kacchan run off to?" Midoriya pondered. Just then, a sharp sensation rung in Izuku's head which alerted him to his friend's location. His eyes shot open before he activated his Quirk, One For All, and ran to Bakugou's current location.
Izuku finally arrived to where Dynamite was, only to see him ground, struggling to even stand. "Kacchan!" Deku immediately ran to his side. "S-stay back, Deku. I don't n-need your help..." Katsuki said his final words before passing out due to his injuries. Deku grabbed his unconscious body and put it to the side before facing Aang. "Who are you and why did you attack my friend!?" "My name is Aang, the Avatar. And I'm sorry about your friend, but I had to or he would've hurt the forest." But unfortunately, Aang's words didn't get through to Midoriya.
Izuku put his fists up before saying "I need you to come with me. Put your hands up." Aang pulled out his glider before flying off which prompted Izuku to follow him. "Get back here!" Aang flew away from the forest and into an open field on the outskirts of the Fire Nation Capital. He landed safely as Midoriya finally caught up to him. If they were going to do this, then at least the environment wouldn't get damaged. "I'm sorry, I didn't want it to come to this, but you give me no choice." Aang solemnly said before getting into a defensive position.
Aang went in for the first strike as he blew a gust of air in Izuku's direction. Midoriya front-flipped over it and threw a forward kick towards the Avatar. Aang blocked his powerful strike with his glider before pushing Deku off. Once All Might's successor was on the ground, Aang fired another powerful wind blast at Izuku. It swept him off his feet and into the air which sent him away tens of meters. Midoriya landed near a river as Aang caught up with his Air Scooter. "His Quirk is just like that Shiketsu High School student." Aang levitated over to Izuku to see if he was down, but to his surprise, he jumped back up right away and activated his Air Force gloves.
Bullets of air were sent to Aang as Deku kept flicking his fingers. This wasn't much of a problem as Aang weaved around them thanks to the mobility of his Air Scooter. As the Avatar dodged them, he thought to himself. "Is he an Airbender? No, that's impossible! The Fire Nation wiped them all out." On the other hand, his opponent was also thinking. "Use what you've learned from Sir Nighteye and predict his movements." Izuku focused on Aang and shot one more bullet. This time, it actually hit its target. Aang was knocked off his Air Scooter which dispersed once its creator fell. With this opportunity to deliver a beatdown to Aang, Izuku jumped forward and grabbed the Avatar by his robe. "Detroit Smash!" Izuku screamed before sending a punch to Aang's stomach. The punches didn't stop there as Izuku was relentless with his attacks. The final one was a kick to Aang's skull, and let me tell ya, the iron boot made the pain so much worse.
Before the Yuuei student could deal any more damage, Aang had a trick up his sleeve. Similarly to a few minutes ago, a sensation rose in Midoriya's head. This was one of Midoriya's many Quirks, Danger Sense. Izuku quickly hopped back, avoiding a spike that could've been fatal. "Did he just...summon a spike? Does this kid have multiple Quirks?...Is he a Nomu?" If Midoriya's suspicions were correct, then that gave him all the more reason to defeat Aang and bring him in to police. Midoriya dashed to Katara's boyfriend, but he quickly disrupted this plan by using Earthbending to fracture the ground. All Might's successor yelped as he forcefully taken into the air, and as he fell back down, he saw some flying rocks waiting for him on the way down.
The first rock was shattered by a swift kick, and the second was destroyed with an air bullet. Instead of destroying the third rock, Midoriya narrowly evaded and shot an air bullet downward. The propulsion boosted him into the rock which he used as a boost towards Aang. "Manchester Smash!" The One For All user howled before performing a downward kick. Aang got out of the way, but the shockwave created from the raw power blasted Aang back into the woods. Little did the hero-in-training know that his attack helped Aang more than it helped him. Deku's kick created almost 50 rocks in the area, and after regaining his bearings, Aang lifted the rocks into the air. Midoriya realized how badly he just screwed up as Danger Sense warned him once again. The rocks flew towards the nerdy teen, ready to encase the boy in stone.
But that plan was ruined as a large amount of smoke covered the area instantly. Using this distraction, Izuku activated Float and hovered over to Aang who was trying to find him. Izuku was also unable to find Aang. Danger Sense wasn't picking up any hostility or bloodlust from Aang. The Avatar formed another wind gust around his body which dispersed most of the smoke. However, all this did was put a target on his back since Midoriya saw him immediately and went in for a flying kick. "St. Louis Smash!" Aang felt his whole body vibrate from Izuku's kick, and he couldn't even fly away from the impact as Deku quickly landed a roundhouse kick. Midoriya repeatedly blitzed Aang and landed an overwhelming amount of attacks.
The protege of All Might was forced to stop as a sudden burst of fire surrounded Aang which burned Deku's skin and costume. "Fire too!? How many powers does this kid have?!" Izuku jumped into a building before he got burned by a stream of flames and pushed himself off a tree into Aang. He didn't learn from his previous mistake though as another fire ring burned him once again and punted him into a tree which broke in half on impact.
The young hero held his side in pain as he felt a rib crack. "It's too dangerous to get in close. I'll need to keep my distance." With this in mind, Izuku took to the skies with Float. Midoriya punched forward several times which created multiple shockwaves. Aang used his Airbending to separate Izuku's wind pressure blasts. However, this didn't deter the Yuuei student as he made another smokescreen, but this time, it was much larger. It covered the entirety of the forest! Midoriya slowly walked over to Aang's position in order to not give away his location.
But alas, that plan was doomed to fail because Aang knew exactly where Deku was, and it was all thanks to his Seismic Sense. Every step Deku took, he created a vibration in the earth which Aang could feel. The Avatar ran forward and shot a fireball that was headed towards Izuku. "Now I got you." Aang muttered to himself. He heard a shriek of shock before he heard an explosion. He once again blew away the smoke around him and ran to the explosion.
All that was there was a few burning pieces of Izuku's hero costume and Gran Torino's charred cape. Instead of being happy that he won, Aang panicked as he had no desire to kill the young hero. "Oh no! I'm so sorry!" But luckily (yet unluckily for Aang), Midoriya was far from death, all thanks to Danger Sense. "FA JIN!!!" Deku's voice yelled out to Aang who got a devastating punch to his stomach and then his jaw. Izuku's body was covered in an aura completely different from his usual one. Midoriya leapt into the air before performing a Faux 100% Manchester Smash. Aang reacted fast and covered himself in an earth shield. This attempt to protect himself was muda useless as the One For All bearer broke through immediately. The Avatar just barely moved out of the way which prevented his skull from turning into mush. The ground broke apart completely, some of the water from river was blasted into the air, and the unfortunate trees that happened to be near collapsed. One of those trees were sent far away from Deku and Aang's battle area.
(Stop Music)
A lone cabbage merchant was walking through the woods with his cart before stopping to take a quick break. As he stepped away, the flying tree completely crushed his cart and all of his cabbages. "No! My cabbages!" the merchant exclaimed as soon as he turned around.
(Cue Elements of Alchemy at 0:28)
Back to the fight, Aang frowned at seeing all of this destruction. He needed to end this fight. Now. Remember how I mentioned the flying water from before? Well, with his Waterbending, he formed a wave that was headed straight towards Izuku. "Oh great, he can control water too. What else can he do? Take away my Quirk?" Midoriya muttered sarcastically to himself. Midoriya flicked his finger and fire another wave of air towards the wave of water. The two collided and split apart. Aang prepared more water attacks for Deku, but he was stopped immediately when a dark tendril surrounded his legs. "What kind of bending is this?!" Aang asked before getting slammed on the ground repeatedly. Midoriya realized that every time Aang used the elements, his body was also moving as he was controlling the elements, so he decided to restrain Aang to prevent any more bending.
Aang was forcefully pulled towards Izuku before receiving a Detroit Smash to his stomach. The force pushed Aang away, but Izuku refused to let the Avatar get away so easily. He pulled the last Airbender back and basically used him as a Ping Pong ball. This stopped when Aang shot out a fire ring and burned Izuku's face. Instinctively, the tendril let go of Aang as Midoriya wrapped his arms around his face. The Avatar felt bad about having to do such a thing, but he knew it was necessary as Izuku was determined to capture him and take him to the police.
The last Airbender shot another fireball towards Izuku who back-flipped over it. Aang continued shooting fireballs which prompted Izuku to leap forward and kick the air while yelling out "St. Louis Smash: Air Force!" The fireballs were put out like they were little candles. All Might's successor reeled his fist back, but he didn't land the hit as Danger Sense warned him of Aang's Earthbending attack. The ground that Deku was standing on lifted up and more rocks floated around Midoriya. As they dashed towards him, he hopped into the air and performed a Manchester Smash. He shattered the rocks that were coming after him and the platform he was standing on. But as soon as he landed, Aang shot another fireball at him, burning his skin as blood spurted out his mouth.
Midoriya growled before part of his costume ripped apart from the power he was charging in his arm. He dashed forward, getting prepared to hit Aang with a 100% smash. Aang noted this and prepared an earth wall as Izuku got near. Midoriya threw his punch and Aang lifted the earth wall.
A shockwave occured, one larger than any they've produced before. The Yuuei student groaned in pain as he felt his bones breaking. Despite the immense power, Aang's earth wall was still standing. However, it wasn't going to stand for long. Aang knew he needed to do something before his defense shattered. And he knew exactly what to do. Aang took a few steps back and readied up another attack.
Izuku finally burst through the sturdy rock, but when he did, he wasn't expecting to get smacked in the air with a pillar. That wasn't all as Aang formed some water whips from the river water on the ground. The hero-in-training winced as he felt his body trickle blood from the marks. And to end this, Aang released a stream of fire, one far more intense than usual. The teen screamed in agony as he felt his entire body get engulfed in flames.
All Might's protege fell down to the ground. It took him a few seconds, but he stood up back while deep breathing. Aang wouldn't let him get the chance to fight back because he instantly encased him in stone. While he could normally break out easily, Izuku was drained from the damage he just took. The Avatar walked up to him slowly before putting his hand on Izuku's head. His eyes and mouth emitted a bright light before the same happened to Izuku. Blue energy covered Aang's body as green energy did the same to the hero otaku.
After a few seconds passed, the energy disappeared as Aang stepped back. "W-what did you do to me?" Midoriya asked in pure confusion. "I took away your bending." "My what?" Izuku activated One For All, or at least he tried to, but nothing happened. "You won't be able to hurt anything else again." Aang said before walking away. "N-no! Dammit!" Midoriya yelled as his consciousness was starting to fade.
But before he passed out, Midoriya saw visions of the past wielders. Red lines appeared all over his body before disappearing. Izuku's eyes shot open as he busted out of his rock prison. "My Quirk is back! But how?" The teen asked but he realized the answer. "The previous users restored my power." But there was no time to think about this. Izuku's main focus was defeating Avatar Aang.
While walking back to the city, Aang turned around to glimpse at his opponent, only to get suckerpunched in the cheek (to clarify, I'm talking about the cheek on his face, not his you-know-what). "Your bending is back?! But how?!" Izuku was in no mood to answer Aang's question. Izuku wrapped Blackwhip around Aang's arm before slamming him into some trees and rocks in the area before letting him go flying. Blood started rushing from the young Avatar's head. "I need to stop him or he's going to continuing hurting the land. I have no other choice. I have to use this." Aang said to himself. By fueling himself with his anger, the boy's eyes started glowing white as his tattoos followed up on this. This was the Avatar State.
Izuku caught up to the last Airbender and witnessed his new form. In response to this, Danger Sense became active once again. But this time, it sensed Aang's negative emotions, and the sensation become overwhelming. Midoriya realized how powerful Aang had become, so he increased his percentage to its maximum. His green aura become cyan as his hair raised up and his eyes leaked out energy. "Let's end this!" Deku yelled out to Aang, now entering Full Cowling 100%! The two stared at each other with pure determination. It was time to end this battle.
A tornado surrounded Aang and the environment. Aang roared before shooting the wave of destruction to the OFA user. In response, Midoriya jumped high into the air with all the strength he could muster. He boosted himself towards the Avatar with air pressure. Now that he was 2 feet away from Aang, he charged his fist with raw power. "SMASH!!!" Deku roared as he delivered a punch towards Aang's jaw. The boy groaned in pain as he felt his jaw crack, and he was blown away from the shockwave it generated. Izuku wasn't done yet as he sent Blackwhip around Aang's torso.
Aang was pulled back only to get a punch, one after the other. The last Airbender felt like he was going to throw up not only from being swung around at blinding speeds, but also getting punched in the stomach again and again. The last hit fractured some of Aang's ribs and made him cough up blood. As for Midoriya, he gritted his teeth as he felt the bones in his other arm break. But this pain was practically nothing the Yuuei student. If he's already broken one arm, then why not break another? Or at least, that was Midoriya's mindset.
Fire was summoned by the Avatar to burn Izuku. The heat coming from Aang's body dissipated Blackwhip, and Izuku was blasted back down to the earth. The speed Izuku descended at and the power of Aang's firebending made a massive explosion that was at least 70 meters. The bone breaker coughed up blood and struggled to get back up, but he eventually did after a few seconds. Since Izuku was on the ground, the Avatar decided Earthbending would be a good option. Rocks were summoned from the ground before turning into spikes. Izuku sidestepped one, and ducked under another while making a mad dash to Aang, but he didn't expect for the spikes to turn around. They imbedded themselves into his legs, making Deku come to a halt.
Despite the immense amount of pain he was feeling, Izuku wasn't stopping. In fact, he sped up his run. Midoriya jumped into the air near the speed of light! "ST. LOUIS SMASH!!!" A roundhouse kick was sent towards the Avatar. He tried to block it with his staff, but that was clearly a poor decision at Midoriya kicked through it like wet paper. Aang's next attempt to defend himself was putting his hands up like a boxer, but he was too slow. The kick smashed up half of his ribcage. Next up on Deku's list of attacks would be an upward kick to the jaw. A tear dropped from Aang's eyes from the pain, and that pain was going to get worse as he was thrusted into the ground with Izuku's Blackwhip.
A cyclone of flames encompassed the last Airbender before shooting out in all directions. Most of the forest Aang wished to protect was now set on fire, and as for the Class 1-A student, he punched forward again, shooting a wave of wind to protect himself. The Avatar shot another fireball as Midoriya created another wind pressure blast. The two ranged attacks made an explosion that burned them both and blasted them away from each other. Izuku was punted through multiple trees, getting splinters stuck in his skin before finally coming to a stop.
Midoriya groggily stood up and searched for his opponent. With the condition his body was in, he needed to hurry up and end this battle before he fell unconscious, which would probably be in a minute or so. He didn't need to look long as Aang was back along with a large wave of water. As it turns out, he happened to land in a lake. Izuku prepared to levitate, but Aang quickly manipulated the water and froze it on his enemy's body. "Crap! He froze me solid!" For the first time in a while, Aang had something to say to the Yuuei student. "You will pay for the damage you've caused to this land!" Aang aggressively stated.
To finally end the fight, Aang lifted all of the lake water and slammed onto Izuku's body. The ice around the OFA bearer shattered, and the force shattered the ground. Izuku instinctively screamed which only resulted in him temporarily drowning. The water separated, and Aang used his Airbending to float near the crater where Izuku laid. Aang's eyes widened as he saw Izuku crawling out the rubble. It was a surprise to see that the nerdy teen was still alive, much less moving.
"It's...gonna take...a lot more...than that...to take me out!" Izuku confidently declared. He pulled out Blackwhip once again, but this time, he used it as a cast before activating 100% in his left arm. He knew that if he used Full Cowling 100%, it would kill him instantly. So this was the next best option. Aang was almost out of energy, so he gathered all of the elements for one final attack. Both ran/flew to each other with their attacks ready. They yelled out as their attacks collided.
An explosion occurred, one that completely atomized anything and anyone within 100 meters of them. The blast radius even reached to the entrance of the city. As this was happening, a child's screams could be heard throughout the area.
At the fight scene, there was a large crater with 40% of it being covered in blood from both of the fighters. However, only one of them was still moving while the other was no longer with us. The survivor was....Izuku Midoriya. His body was completely limp, and he couldn't activate any of his Quirks. He looked towards to his former opponent.
Aang's body was completely mangled. His torso was just a bloody mess, and his limbs were detached from his body. Izuku had realized what he just done. "...A-Aang." Deku whimpered while shedding tears. "I-I'm so s-sorry." was all he could say before passing out.
Katsuki woke up and looked around the area, only to find the crater his friend was located at. He grabbed Izuku's body and took him back to U.A.
Sokka, Katara, Appa, Momo, and Toph investigated the area after hearing the explosion and saw Aang's deceased body.
Results/Explanation[]
Ranger: Damn. That fight was incredible! Poor Aang though.
Advance: At first glance, you would think that Izuku easily stomped Aang. But saying so would completely ignore the advantages Aang held.
Ranger: Speaking of which, let's go over them. Aang had way more abilities than Izuku had ever seen in a one-on-one fight. That would definitely catch him off guard.
Advance: Aang was also way stronger than Izuku's 5%-30%. At most, Izuku's attack potency reached 10 kilotons. But Aang had that beat and then some with his 32 kiloton feat. That's a 3.32 times difference in stats.
Ranger: Had we restricted Midoriya to those percentages, Aang would've most likely won after a long fight. But the thing is, we didn't.
Advance: For starters, even though Aang had the edge in versatility, Izuku's encountered and studied the same abilities before. Wind manipulation? He's seen Inasa's Quirk before. Earth control? He's studied Ryuko's Earth Flow and defeated Overhaul who could control the ground. Water control? He's fought villains who could manipulate water just as good as Aang could. And for Aang's firebending, two of Izuku's best friends literally have fire Quirks.
Ranger: Either way, I think you're starting to get the point. There wasn't much that Aang had that could really surprise Deku for more than a second. Who knew being such a nerd would pay off? On the other hand, I don't think Aang has ever dealt with someone who could make dark energy tendrils, detect any danger which negates any surprise attacks, make smokescreens, or amp his stats.
Pop-Up: While Seismic Sense could help Aang find Midoriya provided he uses a smokescreen, Izuku could just levitate and make Seismic Sense irrelevant.
Advance: Midoriya was way stronger too, and in order to prove this, let's compare their strongest feats. Aang could scale to Korra who redirected the Spirit Energy Cannon's energy which reached 3 megatons.
Ranger: That's cool, but it's pathetic when compared to Izuku rotating a storm with the help of Katsuki, which was 61 teratons! It ain't unheard of to beat someone stronger than you, but when there's a 20,000,000 times gap, it may be too much.
Advance: Not like it really mattered as Izuku would still one-shot at 45%. After all, he could defeat Shigaraki who was comparable to All Might. You know, the same guy who created a storm with a shockwave.
Ranger: But like we've said before, Aang was decently stronger when Deku is in his 5%-30% state. Couldn't have Aang blitzed before Midoriya used 45% or 100%? The answer is: hell no.
Advance: Aang is, at most, Mach 500 via scaling to Zuko. Izuku has that beat easily with his Mach 2146 feat which was over 4 times faster. And since he was already blitzing someone who also scales to this at 8%, it's safe to say that Aang couldn't keep up.
Ranger: And please don't get us started on durability either, because that's where Aang suffers the most in. He consistently gets injured from attacks that could destroy small sections of buildings while Izuku can take explosions from Katsuki. At only 5%, mind you!
Advance: Intelligence easily went to Izuku. While Aang may be know more about world history and its cultures, that sure as hell isn't gonna help him in a fight. Meanwhile, Izuku has been studying plenty of Pro Heroes and their fighting styles ever since he was a child.
Ranger: Experience was a mixed bag. Combat experience went to Aang once he entered the Avatar State. However, Izuku's experience was way more helpful. Like we've said before, Izuku was experienced with all of the bending abilities Aang had and knew exactly how to deal with them.
Advance: To end this off, we'll answer one last question: couldn't Aang use Energybending to disable Deku's Quirk?
Ranger: That argument doesn't work too well for four reasons. For one, he was way too slow to actually use it on him. Two, bending and Quirks are completely different fundamentally.
Advance: Quirks are physical mutations while bending is related to one's spiritual energy. Totally different. Three, The One For All users have restored Midoriya's Quirk once he had lost it, so it's not ludicrous to assume they couldn't do the same thing here.
Ranger: And finally, Energybending is basically a suicide move against Izuku. Energybending is based on one's will, and if the person it's used on has a stronger will, it will corrupt and kill them. And seeing as how Deku had enough willpower to break out of mind control and resist his Quirk being stolen, Energybending ain't working.
Advance: This was an interesting match-up, but Izuku had the stats, experience, and will to defeat the last Airbender.
Ranger: Regardless of how much he tried to bend his fate, Aang was taken off the air.
Advance: This winner is Izuku Midoriya!
