Hi all, following on from Mewtwo’s announcement earlier this week, I would to present you all with an official Death Battle spoiler thread for the wiki. This thread can be found either on the “News and Announcements” section of the Discussion Board, or under the “Community” section of the wiki’s navigation bar.

Rules:

• The purpose of this thread is to discuss Death Battle spoilers before the 24 hour discussion limit is up. This allows community members to talk about various aspects of the episode (e.g. the analysis sections, the fight itself, the result and the next time) before the 24 hour limit is up. After the 24 hour limit is up, community members are welcome to discuss episode spoilers elsewhere but can also can continue discussing them on this thread if they wish.

• Any spoilers posted outside of this thread elsewhere on the wiki before the 24 hour limit is up will be removed with the users receiving warnings and/or temporary blocks for their actions.

• This thread is for Death Battle spoilers only. Please do not spoil other media on this thread. Any posts like this will be removed.

• Disclaimer: This thread obviously contains comments about recent Death Battle episodes. Read at your own risk. If you do not wish to be spoiled, please unfollow the thread.

I hope you all find this thread useful.

As you all are probably aware, Death Battle will be staring up soon with the premiere being two weeks away (and the next episode announcement most likely being tomorrow). While I'm sure you are excited I would like to remind you all that all manner of spoilers cannot be discussed on this wiki until 24 hours after the video retaining those spoilers has been publicly released.

To clarify, the following actions are considered spoilers:

• Directly stating the outcome of a fight or saying something that implies it's outcome in comments or on the Discussion Board

• Mentioning anything that happened during the episode (in analysis, fight, or result)

• Posting images from the official episode

• Mentioning Next Time in comments or on the Discussion Board (This includes fights that have been confirmed. If they are going to be next let it be a surprise to anyone who doesn't know.)

• Adding information to character/fight pages that either contain official DB info or mark them as official combatants/fights

Anyone caught making spoilers on this wiki is immediately subject to a temp ban that will get longer with each repeat offense. The reason I'm mentioning this is because since Billcord last year there has been a massive outbreak in spoilers, typically in the form of at least one person leaking the Next Time before the spoiler period ended.

We CANNOT assume that everyone watched the new Death Battle at the same time or that they will avoid this wiki until they've seen the new episode. Reading spoilers before seeing the fight can ruin the experience for people so it is best to keep it safe and refrain from publicly disclosing new information.

So please, I implore you all to act with consideration in the near future and avoid talking about spoilers until enough time has passed for everyone to see the fight. I believe everyone on this wiki would really appreciate it if we could avoid another situation like the one last year.

This announcement is being made in regards to the Predator (Yautja) and battles pertaining to it on the DEATH BATTLE Fanon Wikia, as well as how battles pertaining to the Predator franchise MUST be done from this point forward due to the reasons that will be outlined.

The Predator Page, as some of you may have likely noticed, has been deleted and will NOT be restored along with this, Certain Battles (Ones that have been Abandoned or Are from Users no Longer Active) have been deleted while the Rest have been moved to Blog Posts. The reason for this is that the page itself was created focusing on the race as a whole and essentially taking information, feats, arsenal, and much more from a variety of different Predator's that have appeared throughout the Franchise and essentially putting them into one Predator, which, to some may not seem like a big deal, but allow me to lay down an example as to why this is a problem and inaccurate.

You're planning to use one of the Saiyan's from Dragon Ball, but there are countless named ones that have differing abilities, transformations, techniques, and so on. There are so many to pick from that you don't know which one to pick. What is the solution? Essentially, use one of them, give them abilities from ALL of the other Saiyan's, and claim they should be capable of the same, especially since they're the same race. That's a perfectly viable solution, right?

No. It's not at all a viable solution or option, and that is essentially what was being done with the Predator's Page.

Certain equipment that the Various Predator's have is not universal and accessible to all of them, and not every named Yautja within the franchise, such as the Jungle Hunter, Ghost (City Hutner), Mr. Black (Berserker Predator), Feral Predator, and more, have access to these gadgets and equipment that is seemingly standard to a Yautja (i.e., the Jungle Hunter doesn't have a Combistick while the City Hunter does, Mr. Black doesn't have Shurikens while Scar does, and the examples go on, Wolf doesn't have a Bladed-Shield while Feral Predator does), and some of them are exclusive to certain clans, certain hunters within the society, and so on. while certain Predator's are much stronger than others and are not capable of the same feats as each other, especially when certain Yautja are a Sub-Species (Such as Feral Predator being from a different environment of Yautja, Mr. Black being a Super Predator, Ultimate Predator being genetically enhanced, and so on).

DEATH BATTLEs cannot be made using a nameless and unofficial Yautja, nor can they simply be used based on their ranking. Utilizing Yautja by placing emphasis on Rank alone is not efficient due to the varying achievements among different and specific Yautja throughout the franchise, such as the following individuals within their respective clans:

• Scar, a Young Blood, was capable of competently fighting a Xenomorph Queen, whereas his fellow brothers who were equal in ranking were killed by a Xenomorph Drone named Grid.

• The Berserker Predator was born physical attributes and an intelligence that would be considered superhuman by Yautja standards, being the youngest of his race to ever kill a Xenomorph.

• Facing unfavourable odds given the circumstances of the battle, an Elite known as Dark singlehandedly killed Abomination, which was a Predalien implied to have been superior in both physicality and skill to "standard" Predaliens.

While the rankings of a Yautja within their society do serve as indications of skills in most cases, they don't provide a concrete definition of their skill, and they CERTAINLY DOES NOT equate to a Yautja's Physical Capabilities.

Despite this, people, including the DEATH BATTLE team themselves, STILL essentially treat all of the Predator's Information, Equipment, Arsenal, Feats, and abilities as universal as well as common among all Yautja, even though they're NOT, which is the problem being addressed now by the deletion of the pages and the Predator Page.

From this point forward, when making a battle with a Predator, you MUST use a named version and Specify WHICH one you're using (i.e., if you're using the Jungle Hunter, then the page would be named, for example, "Altair vs. Jungle Hunter," if it's City Hunter/Ghost, it'd be "Sam Fisher vs. Ghost" or "Sam Fisher vs. City Hunter").

If the page continues to use a Predator with "All of the Tech," then it will be deleted, and if the page does not have a Predator specified, then you will need to Specify or else it will be deleted.

On the Rule Violation Report, we've had to nuke effortless polls – or as I like to call them: pure, unfettered, glorified spam – literally every day now for over a week. Surely it can't possibly be that unfathomably hard to put actual effort into your posts instead of lazily spitting them out on a treadmill, right?

Please excuse my prior language, but this GENUINELY has to stop. Hence why I'm putting out this reminder. The fact that absolutely no one seems to care about this rule is genuinely making me consider extreme measures at this point, like instantly banning everyone who violates this rule from the Discussions for a couple weeks (PSA: we can do this, FANDOM recently added the ability to issue partial bans that only affect certain parts of the wiki). If you don't want me to go to these lengths, please consider following the rule.

It genuinely CANNOT be this difficult. I absolutely despise being the bad cop, so please don't force me to be one.

I know you all are getting tired of hearing this, but we've gone four episodes in a row with someone spoiling either the Next Time or the Fight and I'm sure we would all be happy if this streak were to come to an end.

As stated by Rule 13 of the Rules and Guidelines: "Please do not spoil/publicly discuss an official Death Battle episode until at least 1 day/24 hours after the episode has been released on YouTube". This means that until the new episode has been on YouTube for a whole 24 hours you cannot do the following:

• Imply or directly state the outcome of a fight on Discussion Board or Fight Page's comments

• Post images from the fight itself

• Make polls about the Next Time

• Edit a page to directly mark a fight as official or a character as an official combatant

Over the past four episodes, we have had at least one person do one of the following things above and break the spoiler rule, some of which have been repeat offenses. This can be a serious issue for people who have yet to see the fight as it can ruin the experience for them. Thus we kindly implore you to avoid talking about the new episode when it comes out on Monday until the 24 hour period is up. And if possible, please kindly pass this message along as there is no guarantee that everyone on this wiki will read the Discussion Board and they may not be aware of this rule.

And as a bit of "cause I feel like it" incentive, if we manage to go the full 24 hours without any reports of spoilers, I will rip-off SMG4's WOTFI 2023-err I mean make a totally original DBFCU Story in which you all can vote on what decisions I'll make as I go do an adventure.

I know you all heard this after the Billcord incidents, but since there were leaks shorty after Cole vs Alex, I feel like it would be best to go over this one more time so we don't have to ban anyone after the Frieza vs Megatron release.

*Ahem* With Frieza vs Megatron coming out real soon, I would like to remind the wiki that there is a rule against spoilers that is taken very seriously. Officially the rule states that you cannot make comment about a Death Battle or the Next Time until 24 hours after the episode has been made public or any similar action that would spoil the outcome. To clarify on what exactly is prohibited, here are some actions that violate the spoiler rule:

• Directly stating the outcome of the fight

• Mentioning anything that happened during the episode (in analysis, fight, or results)

• Mentioning something that would imply the outcome (they'll figure it out from that, trust me)

• Posting images of the fight (via Upload or Post on Discussion Board)

• Mentioning Next Time

• Adding to character or fight pages to mark them as official DB combatants or episodes respectively

• Do not lie about anything regarding the episode either (that is just being a jerk)

You should keep in mind that not everyone watches the new episode at the same time which is why this rule is so important. We, as a community, need to avoid spoiling the content of new episodes so everyone can enjoy it equally without losing the thrill of what to expect next.

So please try and refrain from discussing spoilers of a Death Battle or the Next Time until a safe period of time has passed. And as a reminder: anyone who violates the spoiler rule will immediately be subject to a 24-hour ban, and any repeat offenders will receive harsher consequences.

Hey all, its me again.

Recently there have been a number of posts made regarding Bill Cipher vs Discord. All of them contained spoilers for said episode and ruined it for other people.

I'd like to ask you all to not post spoilers for any episode. Many of us may not have seen the episode yet and would like to watch it without having the episode ruined ahead of time.

If you end up posting spoilers, your post will immediately be deleted and you may receive a short-term ban because of it.

Hello those who prowl the Discussion Boards

Alot of people have been posting thumbnail requests/opponent finding/Death Battle page help in the writing and design help category, as well as posting stuff about their own fights/personal lives in Announcements. While those posts may sound like they belong in said categories, its not the case, and after re-categorizing another chunk of posts, i felt there was a need to post a reminder.

Rule 3 in the Discussion Board Guidelines state

• News and Announcements is meant to only be used by mods for Death Battle Fanon Wiki announcements, so normal users please refrain from using this category.

• Added to this, the Writing/Design Help category should only contain official wiki help threads (e.g. the Opponent Finder Hotline and Music Suggestion threads) so that members of the community looking for help with certain aspects of their battles can find them more easily.

• Any general queries about working on battles should be posted on the Questions and Answers category.

While posting in the wrong category its nothing major, it would make mine and the other moderators jobs easier if there was less posts to move to the correct category. It's gotten old quicker than I would like to admit. Anything regarding your own fights should go in Self-Promotion, anything regarding questions for anything go in Question and Answers, anything regarding your personal lives go in General or Off-Topic.

Hello everyone, myself and the other staff members have decided to create a new Discussion Post rule regarding the creation of Discussion Board VS polls. This is due to us noticing the creation of a number of VS polls that contain no additional information/context (and therefore create unnecessary clutter on the Discussion Boards). This rule should hopefully encourage the creation of polls which have a reasonable amount of context and additional information and thus prompt the community to engage in constructive debates concerning which character would come out on top.

Hello to the others that also prowl in the Discussion Boards, I am Hoppingclams343, and for those who don't know, I am one of the mods for our DBs.

Recently there has been a lot of people upset about their polls being deleted, and we understand why. Nobody likes it when something they create is trashed. However, there is legitimate reasoning behind their deletions. Me and the other admins/mods decided it would be best to reiterate the rule regarding such posts.

For those who don't know, and louder for those in the back that refuse to listen: In a Debate Post or Poll on these Discussion Boards, you must give connections (at the very least) and feats, and you cannot use any characters that fall on the Blacklist. This includes featless (or little feat) characters, Internet Memes and Youtubers, Real Life People/Animals, and Children's entertainment characters.

The above rule is here to make sure we don't have the Discussion Boards flooded with 500 polls a day with MUs that make little to no sense, that are more or less just spam.

To those who think that the above rules are somehow unfair, to quote a very famous man.... "Cope" - Thomas Jefferson, probably.

That being said, I hope you do adhere to the rules above.

It has come to our attention that there have been a lot of polls recently that involve actual DBF Users. While we understand that this is all meant to be fun and games, OC Posts of any sort are not allowed on this wiki.

This unfortunately does extend to DBF users as they are considered OCs due to certain users having made-up powers and lore for themselves. As such, any future User polls will be deleted immediately and we ask that everyone refrains from making these polls from now on.
