1. Both of them are powerful mind-controlling antagonists from 2020s era Nintendo games that are part of a large franchise consisting mostly of platformers, both of their games were significant entries in their series' (Mario & Luigi Brothership marks the return of a long dormant spin-off series in the form of the Mario & Luigi RPG series; Kirby & the Forgotten Land was the First Main Series 3D Kirby) and feature the protagonist getting sucked to another world in the opening

2. both of them are originally hostile beings of an unknown origin who had traveled invading and destroying many different worlds before arriving in the setting of the game (Concordia and The Forgotten Land) long before any of the cast was born

3. However, they would eventually be weakened and retreat into a lesser form of themselves as a result of an event (Reclusa retreating into an egg in order to recharge his power after destroying various worlds and Elfilis being captured by a team of researchers from before the forgotten land was abandoned and repopulated with animals where they would then experiment of Elfilis eventually dividing it's body, mind and soul into 2 entities named Elfilin and Fecto Forgo and recreating Fecto's advanced abilities for themselves and leaving the forgotten land behind)

4. Now in their weakened state, both Reclusa and Forgo would seek to return to their original selves but unable to do it in their current state (as Reclusa was trapped inside his recharging egg and Forgo was reduced to a fetus like state inside of the capsule where it's captures had experimented on it in)

5. Sometime later, both would be discovered by major new characters (Cozette and Leon) who had a close relationship to another new major character who's name starts with a “C” (Connie and Caroline, Cozette is Connie's mentor and surrogate mother figure and Leon and Caroline are implied to have a romantic relationship and lead the animal kingdom together), both of these new major characters who discovered them(Cozette and Leon) are important members of their society (Cozette was one of the Wattanists who's job is to maintain, protect and watch the Uni-Tree which keeps the land of Concordia and it's people together and Leon was the king of the animal kingdom), they would proceed to discover the mysterious ancient entity in a location where research was conducted (Cozette's research on the Egg and the abandoned Research on Forgo) that had been mostly abandoned (The Gluchrock Sea Great Light House and Lab Discovera) where the entity would brainwash them (Cozette and Leon)

6. This brainwashing would result in them becoming villains under their control who seek to revive them and taking up a new name (Zokket and Leongare) which is a play on their own original name (Zokket's name resembling a messed up anagram of Cozette and Leongare being Leon + the suffix “Gare”), under this alter ego they would become obsessed with bringing about the return of the entity they had discovered

7. In order to do this, they would go and form an army (The Zok Tropes and the Beast Pack) lead by a group of commanders under their orders (The Extension Corps and the Beast Pack Council), who their brainwashed slave(Zokket and Leongare) would command to do their will.

8. Both of them (through their brainwashed slave) would then instruct their followers to collect someone or something in order to bring about their return (Reclusa needing Glohm to build up so he can hatch and Forgo needing it's other half Elfilin to assume their true form)

9. Both of them would end up as a part of their forces brainwashing a recurring king antagonist who acts as an on-again-off-again villain to the protagonist (Bowser and King Dedede), both of them would end up transforming them into new, more powerful forms (Glohm Bowser and Forgo Dedede) who would fight the protagonist before being freed from this brainwashing, both kings would go on to help the protagonist’s in late game areas (Bowser helping to take out Reclusa's minions and Dedede helping Kirby & one of the Waddle Dees by holding off a stampede and helping them get to the elevator)

10. Both of them after their resurrections (Reclusa being hatched from his egg and Forgo and Elfilin fusing back into Elfilis) would begin to resume their invasion of the world the game takes place in (Reclusa begins to transform Fortress Zokket into the Soli-Tree & also declares his next invasion will be of the Mushroom Kingdom where Mario is originally from and Elfilis' immediate instinct is to plan and execute the invasion)

11. Both of them would at some point assimilate with something taking on a new form in the process before the final boss (Reclusa merging with the Soli-Tree turning into Weeping Reclusa and the giant blob form of Fecto Forgo that chases you down the stairs)

12. Both of them would engage face to face in a battle with the protagonist after returning to their true form, in this fight the protagonist would end up finishing them off with a combo attack of some kind pressing the button to smash into them as a team (Mario & Luigi repeatedly smashing Reclusa with their hammers in the head and Kirby and Elfilin ramming into Elfilis with the truck)

13. Both boss fights also involve a sequence where the protagonist must dodge projectiles while on a vehicle (Snoutlet's giant plug and Kirby's truck) to get to them

14. Both in their final phases both are against their base forms with the music and background changing halfway through.

15. Both of them have appendages coming from their head (Reclusa's 2nd pair of arms and Elfilis' wings)

16. Both of them possess dream manipulation powers that allow them to create entire fake worlds (Reclusa is able to create illusionary worlds based on one's deepest desires using his flowers and Fecto Forgo was able to create a Phantom-Like Dream World “Isolated Isles: Forgo Dreams”)

17. Both in their boss fights will use clones to attack

18. Both have 'Core' forms that have similar color schemes (The Weeping Core and Chaos Elfilis' Core)

19. Both in the end, dissolve into particles of energy after their final defeat (Reclusa after being beaten by the bros turns into yellow, green, pink and gold energy along with the tree and Chaos Elfilis turns into particles with the last entering Elfilin becoming one with him and singling the end of Elfilis at last)

Contrast:

Technology vs Nature, most of Reclusa's minions across both the one's in the tree and the zok tropes (with the exceptions of Zokket & the Extension Corps) are robotic and artificial while Elfilis' minions are mostly brainwashed animals
