Connections: Demons from ancient Japan who are revived in the modern day to take revenge on those they deem enemies. Through manipulation and deception, they form a "bond" with a human and attempt to use their own bodies to gain more power to achieve their goals. They are also the strongest of a group of bloodthirsty monsters ( Sukuna being the "King of Curses" and Iris being a mutated Gyaos)
Both are also finally defeated by a powerful strike to the chest by the central protagonist (Gamera's Banishing Plasma and Yuji's Black Flash respectively), also finally freeing the person they possessed.
Hell yeah, Tanjiro vs Spear made it. Kinda surprised tbh
Thx
Personally I'd love to see Rassilon appear.
And I may be beating a dead horse here, but I could see a MU between Rassilon and Aeos from DB Heroes
A circle with most of my original MU's so far, plus just a few other random ones that I like. Ask me anything about them!
Original Matchups:
"Of Blades and Beasts" | Spear vs Tanjiro Kamado (Primal vs Demon Slayer)
"Monster's of Gods Grief" | Merged Zamasu vs Richard Nixon (Dragon Ball vs Monument Mythos)
"The Condemned Hydra" | Planet Eater Ghidorah vs The Horned Serpent (Godzilla vs Monument Mythos)
Ryomen Sukuna vs Iris (Jujutsu Kaisen vs Gamera) | "Malevolent Vengeance"
Katsuki Bakugo vs Daffy Duck (My Hero Academia vs Looney Tunes) | "An Explosive Second Act"
Other MUs:
"From a Distant Planet Land" | Son Goku vs Ultraman (Dragon Ball vs Tsuburaya Productions)
"Adapting to Darkness" | Megumi Fushigoro vs Fumikage Tokoyami (Jujutsu Kaisen vs My Hero Academia)
"All For the Dark Side" | Darth Vader vs All For One (Star Wars vs My Hero Academia)
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Destroyah vs Iris. I don't think it's a bad match per se, but I feel like the connections are really not that substantial apart from "the final ultimate evil that the protagonist monster has to face".

Fair enough I suppose
I mean, they made it work with Obito.
How so? I'm not even trying to bash but I'm genuinely curious on why you think it's boring.
No offense, but I don’t think Death Battle would focus on that all too much.
Hell, Nixon from the NixonVerse has a lot of that as well, and he’s got one of the more interesting matchups floating around.
The only thing that stinks is that you would have to really high-ball spear to be on Tanjiro's level, especially given the latter's overwhelming speed advantage
Connections:
Both characters lost their families to ravenous monsters.
Both travel alongside a strong female companion who are the same kind of creature responsible for the deaths of their families (Fang & Nezuko, respectively).
Both come to befriend people who differ completely in their way of life. (Mira & Inosuke)
Both are incredibly protective of their friends and will go through hell and back to protect them.
Both are remarkably gentle and kindhearted, despite the trials they have faced.
Both often feel remorse for the monsters they have killed, even mourning them despite their attempts to kill them.
Both can tap into incredible amounts of power fueled directly by their rage and righteousness.
