Makima VS Fujiko Etou (Chainsaw Man VS Demon King Daimao)
Two female characters from animanga settings, whom are commonly accepted to be the most well-endowed member of their groups. They, at first at least, seem to carry an air of respect and wisdom around them, carrying themselves in an upright manner and influencing the protagonist throughout their journey.
Though they are part of the protagonist's little group, they are in fact probably one of the most "evil" ones in said group, as they are both obsessed with controlling the main hero (Makima's entire plan being to break Denji down to despair; Fujiko wished to dominate Akuto's mind, body, and soul to rule by her side).
Both of these main heroes also have very heavy relations with a demonic creature, which is the entire reason they manipulate them in the first place (Denji being a vessel for Pochita, the Chainsaw Devil; Akuto being the reincarnation of the Demon King). The manipulation of the demonic heroes come from a place of love, albeit a slightly twisted form of it (Makima doesn't care about Denji's existence at all, only being interested in him for the Chainsaw Devil; Fujiko wanting for Akuto to be by her side as her husband so that she could use him to conquer the world).
They are both a highly esteemed member of an organization of sorts (Devil Hunters and Constant Magick Academy respectively), with which they are both feared and respected by those below them (Makima is one of the most powerful and high-ranking members of the Devil Hunters; Fujiko is one of the few students to be in the top of her classes, with her also being one of the oldest students of the academy). This organization also has some beef with the species the main protagonist is connected to (The Devil Hunters, obviously, hunt and kill Devils; The Principal of Constant Magic Academy fought in the war between the Demon King and Society a century ago, with the entire academy as a whole being completely piss-their-pants scared of the Demon King).
Though they are obsessed with control however, they're very much (heavily implied in Makima's case) to be tragic characters. Makima's life in hell molded her into the person she is now, and her love for Pochita (which she also gained from her time in hell) only further enhanced this. Fujiko's brother (whom she was very close with) died when she was at a young age, and combined this with her parents rather curt way of dealing with things, this caused her to step up to the plate of inheriting her family's legacy and hardened herself seemingly beyond return.
However, they eventually came to be repented, albeit in very contrasting ways (Denji eating Makima out of an act of love; Akuto's general positive energy plus the other members of the group softening up Fujiko's heart). And because of this, they are given second chances at their life (Makima eventually being reincarnated as Nayuta; Fujiko assisting with Akuto's want to liberate humanity from the gods).
Both are very experienced in their verse's energy system, with both using darker-themed abilities (Makima being the Control Devil; Fujiko being a practitioner of Black Magic). In addition, with this power, they have the means to summon demonic entities to their aid (Makima being able to summon the other Devils she's made contracts with; Fujiko being able to summon Demonic Beasts).
However, both aren't really the best at fighting, and typically prefer to stay at long-range to overwhelm their opponents with their abilities. Though they are both geniuses, so this isn't too hard for them.
They contrast in the fact that while Makima stayed evil until the end (at least until she was reincarnated), Fujiko turned over a new leaf while she was still alive. Also, Makima remains unattracted to Denji, while Etou genuinely falls in love with Akuto.
