King Minos vs Asgore Dreemurr (ULTRAKILL vs UNDERTALE)
Connections: Two kind, reasonable, sympathetic kings who held a great love for their people, both of whom were oppressed by a powerful group (Heaven and The Humans.) Both took it upon themselves to build a new society and life for themselves and their people, living happy lives until those groups mentioned above took everything away from them (Literally for Minos in being imprisoned in his own body as his puppeteered corpse destroyed the city of lust, but figuratively for Asgore, losing both his children and wife in one night due to the humans and his actions). In their grief and rage, they would both swear revenge on those who wronged them, despite never wanting to resort to violence in the first place. Both fight out of obligation for their people, wanting to salvage what little they have and make a better life for them.
The big difference between these two and what could lead to great interactions is while Minos is still enraged at the council of heaven and seeking revenge (especially at Gabriel) Asgore is only still collecting human souls because he feels he is in too deep, and can't give up now, for it would crush the hopes of the monsters of the underground.
I will shill this matchup forever ngl, it's the best for both imo.

King Minos vs. King Asgore Dreemurr

Connections: Both are kind-hearted, reasonable kings who will do anything for their people. They both have built societies for their people to live in, allowing them to live in peace. (Building the city of lust and the underground respectively) Both characters were wronged by a certain group (The Council of Heaven and The Humans), causing them both to lose everything. (Minos was killed by Gabriel and forced to watch his puppeteered corpse destroy the society he worked so hard to build, and Asgore losing his entire family, both of his children dead, and his wife leaving him.) And in their rage they both had declaired revenge against those that wronged them and their people (Minos seeking vengence against Gabriel, heaven, and those who have wronged humanity as soon as he was freed from his prison, and Asgore declairing war against the humans and taking the souls of the humans that would fall to the underground.) Despite this, neither of them ever wanted to go down this route, however, they feel that the only choice they have is violence (Minos initially trying to reason with Gabriel before being struck down, and Asgore not even wanting to fight, but feels that he must to bring back hope for his people.) And despite all of their efforts it would only end in tragety with their deaths. (Minos being killed by V1 in their battle, and Asgore dying in every route of the game by some form of his own children except in the true pacifist ending where he gets a happy ending living on the surface with everyone.)
There are a couple of ways for this fight to go, but I like it this way. The fight could start with The Corpse of King Minos being sent to destroy the underground like he did to the lust layer, punching a hole through Asgore's palace, starting the fight. The middle of the fight having Asgore kill the corpse and crash inside the Giant's body ending up facing the flesh prison. Finally, the climax of the fight would be the clash of Asgore and Minos Prime, starting with a short conversation, Minos giving empathy for Asgore's situation but not forgiving him for harming human children, Asgore would nod his head solemnly before they would start the final fight, it could end with them crashing out of Minos' corpse and into the barrier where they would clash one final time, the loser asking the winner to help their people, and the winner agreeing to do so to honor their fallen foe. The fight would end with the barrier breaking, be it Minos using the Human souls to set the monsters free, or Asgore bringing the monsters together to use the human souls to break it, no longer wanting to war against humans.
This fight might be among my most wanted, but it might be because I just love Minos and Asgore a lot lol
