Oh, well thanks. I've gotten so much flak for saying that on Reddit, that I've just come to expect it at this point.
I'm not sure if you heard, but I'm that guy that doesn't see gag feats as legit, and that also leads to me treating cartoons way more seriously than they probably should be, since it also leads me to deduce how Spongebob's feats relate to the plot at hand. That leads to me seeing Spongebob at around Town Level and Hypersonic, which is practically identical to the generally accepted Stat combo Gumball has, and I do just accept those stats since I haven't seen the show anywhere near as frequently.
That's generally a hated way to look at things, since it ignores his higher end feats like him unraveling the string theory that withheld the universe at a centillion times the speed of light, and even if I did accept that, Gumball should probably be lower with similar logic, but it's just the way I look at things, and I tend to stonewall this thought of mine.
You can say how wrong and stupid this thought process is all you like.
For the record, I still see this match as close. I just gave it to SpongeBoy me Bob because of more combat experience.

A. I am someone that cares an awful lot about Spongebob's Lore and Story, way more so that it's comedy, and I often try to look at it's consistent feats that pertain to the plot.
B. I actively made a joke that they would treat Spongebob like a god, just because he is a cartoon character. And that was exactly what they said for the verdict. I'll forgive Death Battle when I see Spongebob slaughter like the weakling he is and Wiz to get his fucking sanity back, because I lose mine everytime this shit is brought up.
