Composite Sonic the Hedgehog vs Composite Son Goku

As some of you may know, I made a post saying I'll do render requests for alt Scenarios for battles, but I probably should have specified, a mistake on my part. The requirements are simple, thankfully.

1) You'll have to be specific on what the scenario is, heres a request from Salty as an example. Goku Using God Ki to dispel negative energy.

Explain what it is and how it should be done, you dont have to provide Black Box info or be super In depth, just enough for me to get a good or decent enough idea.

2) Tell me the setting where the fights located, Theres only so many times I can improvise on where a fight takes place, and it helps give me a better picture in my head for how it would look overall. Simple locations like a beach or a mountain top are fine, just be specific. (Another example from Salt, being a baseball stadium)

3) Not much of a rule, more of a heads up that, if a character you suggest doesnt have good/any sprites, I cant gaurnetee itll be done, sorry in advance.

Thats about all I have, other than that, give me whatever you got.

Question: How did you think of your username?

Answer: So, originally, my username on PlayStation, YouTube, and Discord was "Gojifan2005". 'Goji' was obviously meant to be a shortened form of 'Gojira'/Godzilla. However, eventually I wanted to be more original, so I combined the Japanese name of another series I was a fan of at the time, Dragon Ball (Doragon Boru), with the first one. The "123" was just a random string of numbers. I misspelled "Dora", and it came out as "Dura". But it just kinda stuck and then here we are today.

Question: When and how did you first stumble upon this wiki?

Answer: I don't remember the exact details, but the timeframe would've been around my 6th grade year (around 2017). This was only reading battles and I didn't actually engage with the community for several years, but eventually in like... 2019 I wanna say, I posted my first battle in the form of Flash VS Sonic.

Question: Which other wikis are you a part of?

Answer: Well, I'm a moderator on The DBW Wiki, essentially the weird cousin of the DB Wiki family. I'm also somewhat active on the main Death Battle Wiki, but I've since significantly dropped my activity there due to personal reasons.

Other than DB-related wikis though, I'm a fairly consistent member of the 07th Expansion Wiki and I'm planning to breathe some life back into the Demon King Daimao Wiki at some point. You may also see me on VSBW and Character Stats and Profiles from time to time.

Question: What was your first real project on here?

Answer: I already answered this in a previous question, but it was DCEU Flash VS Paramount Sonic. I started it in ~2019, but I didn't really finish until 2023.

Question: What is your favorite/least favorite MU?

Answer: My favorite matchup is Featherine VS Mandrakk!!! Yeah it just does everything I want in an MU from both: fire banter, an in-depth dive on their abilities and not wasting a single one in the dynamic of how they bounce off each other, having a thought-provoking ideological debate, and just being perfect thematics-wise. Using my favorite character of all time and one of my favorite DC villains ever doesn't hurt either.

My least favorite is technically another Featherine matchup (The Writer), but since I already gave one of her MUs in my favorite category I'll go with another: Ayano VS Jimmy. It's very basic in terms of connections and it gets Jimmy's whole character wrong. Dynamic is also trash doo-doo cheeks, either Jimmy stomps in a H2H fight or he can't touch Ayano bc easter egg powers. Another runner up would be Lord English VS Mr. Mxyzptlk

Question: What's a popular MU in the community that you can't stand?

Answer: Might be a controversial topic, but literally any Murder Drones matchup aside from maybe Cyn VS Agent Smith. Not only is it a series I have next to no interest in, but the way MD has been treated in the community has turned me off from wanting it on the show. Cynth gets a pass bc I like The Matrix and I think the exchange of abilities could be cool.

Question: What is your favorite/least favorite battle/project you've made?

Answer: My favorite battle is probably between Homelander VS Captain Man and Blackbeard VS King K. Rool. One of my nicknames in one of my friend groups being "The Manlander Writer" has a reason to exist, and I think Manlander is probably the greatest mesh of abilities and personalities I've ever pulled off in a fight. I had so much fun writing it that it only took me a few days to 100% the battle. K.Beard is in a similar boat, I just had a lot of fun diving into their backstories and writing out a fight between them that it flew by in a flash. Also I'm basically 99% sure that I was responsible for the slight surge in fake-out endings around the time the battle was released.

My least favorite is probably Flash VS Sonic? It's not that I don't like the fight, but I was just starting out and it could've been a lot better; I'm very glad I waited several years to finish it though. It gave me a hell of a lot more to work with for both. But we all gotta start somewhere, amirite?

Question: What is your favorite/least favorite battle/project on here in general?

Answer: My favorite has got to be either Cheesy's Superman VS Optimus Prime or Composite Sonic VS Composite Goku. The former was really well-paced, gave some great character interactions, and it felt like a proper celebration of the characters. Two of my favorite characters in fiction, no less. Soniku was just fun to experience in general, and getting to add my energy to that huge Spirit Bomb of a battle, regardless of how little it was, was so cool.

Yeah, my least favorite would be kinda hard to say since even some of the worst scripts have their redeeming qualities (Luigi VS Vegeta our Lord and Savior...)

Question: What makes out a good battle to you?

Answer: Good dialogue, great utilization of the combatants' abilities in the fight dynamic, cool as fuck moments for their characterization to shine through, and great pacing/choreography in general. Decent research and analyses are also welcome, but the fight itself is mainly what I'd say constitutes a good battle.

Question: What's your biggest hot take about anything related to Death Battle (if you have any)?

Answer: In regards to general matchups, there is one big one. And fittingly enough, it plays into the currently announced episode at the time of this interview. Joker VS Giorno's "toxicity" is way, WAY overblown. Especially nowadays, when GER's abilities are coming under heavy scrutiny by even the same people who used to love arguing how OP it was. The only toxicity I have honestly seen from the matchup is from people who act like they haven't either played Persona or watched/read JoJo's. It's kind of annoying when I see people bring up the "toxic debate" of Gioker in the present day setting, because really it isn't and it just feels like it's people living in the past. Spicy, I know.

In regards to DB itself, uh... Marvel VS DC isn't overdone. It's just the lack of versatility/variety in the matchups involved. There are still several AMAZING MvDC matchups that the team hasn't tackled yet that I'd like to see be done someday.

Question: What project of yours did you have/are you having the most fun working on?

Answer: In regards to fanon scripts, currently it's RED VS Sonic.EXE (coming this Halloween mwahahaha!). However, all in all, like I said it would have to be either Manlander or K.Beard. Most likely will soon be dethroned once I start working on Featherine VS Mandrakk tho.

All-in-all projects though, Demon King Daimao: Rebirth and other Duraverse-related properties I'm REALLY excited to start finishing up touches for.

Question: What's your favorite moment in the community you've been a part of so far?

Answer: For DBF, it'd probably be getting to be part of Sonic VS Goku. Like I said, getting to work on a project of that magnitude is a great honor.

For the DB community as a whole, it'd obviously be meeting everyone who's in my friend group today. Death Battle brought a lot of us together and contributed to who we are as people. I met some of the closest people in my life through this community, so I wouldn't trade that for anything.

Question: Outside of Death Battle, what's your favorite piece of media (movie, series, game, book etc.)?

Answer: My favorite piece of media of all time is When They Cry, if that hasn't been evident enough from... well, pretty much everything I've posted so far lmao. It has great writing and a great sense of humor. Currently, I'm planning to go back and re-read the whole series at some point, so yeah!

Special Question: What do you have planned for Sonic.EXE vs RED?

Answer: Quite a bit. I think this will be among the most "official" feeling of my battles so far, and I think there's some things the debate will bring up that most people aren't really aware of. The fight is going to go immensely hard, so be sure to be looking forward to that. That's uh, really all I have to say: stay tuned for Halloween 👀

Question: How did you think of your username?

Answer: uh i like breloom a lot and i wanted something unique

i retroactively regret it because it sounds dumb as shit

Answer: ok so in like early 2020 i think i found mimikyu vs amumu and i read it and i liked it

then i joined the omm fanon wiki in 2021 and i was gonna do a user battle with cheesy

he suggested doing it here

we moved it here and the rest is history and that blog is lost to the sands of time

Answer: ok so basically just the vs ones but mainly here

the other ones i might've been on i'm not bringing up cause i don't feel like it

Answer: jimmy vs ayano being remotely passable because it isn't it's god awful

i know that isn't as popular now but it still exists and it is so obvious that the defenders for the matchup know jack shit about jimmy

Answer: i haven't finished any so by default my favourite and least favourite is the hoenn br

but ridley vs vile is probably gonna take the favourite spot and keep it for a while

Answer: i don't have a least favourite though i do have my reservations with some but my favourite is prooooooobablyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy columbo vs light? i think the narrative cheesy formed is really compelling

Question: What makes out a good battle to you?

Answer: ok so a lot of stuff

first of all you need to have a good idea of what direction you wanna go with it

stick with it and don't try to get too ambitious with a lot of ideas

second try to make the analyses have a good balance of story, jokes and vs junk while giving your hosts defined and distinct personalities if you aren't using wiz and boomstick

and third try to make sure the fight is well paced and in certain cases make sure it conveys the reasoning for the winner winning well and don't make that winner too obvious for an extended period of time

Question: What's your biggest hot take about anything related to Death Battle (if you have any)?

Answer: danny vs jake is the worst season 7 episode

Question: What project of yours did you have/are you having the most fun working on?

Answer: wow i wonder (Hoenn Starter BR)

Answer: i mean i dont know if this counts but the most obvious thing to me is like the day i came out as trans i suppose i'm really happy people were accepting of that

Special Question: What do you think of your contribution to Comp. Sonic vs Comp. Goku?

Answer: i have been very vocal about this in the server for the episode's writing

i believe it is by far the worst part of the episode

i went into it with fuck all in the way of experience with writing fights for the fanon and it shows, i'm not happy with how it turned out and i think it sticks out like a sore thumb against the rest of the line up

i don't think it drags the episode down but it is very distinctly mid
