Anyway, in regards to these MUs for Sam.

Deadpool, while a funny character to write for, I feel doesn't have much to do with Sam. It's also a foregone conclusion since Deadpool should be able to just regenerate from literally anything Sam could do to him unless I'm really missing something here.

I'm voting for "Kiryu Majima" since it's at least a funny typo with a chance to be a really funny fight. That & the other options don't really interest me in the slightest.

Don't know about or care much for modern Pokemon. I haven't kept up with it since Gen 5, and that was for the anime. I haven't played a mainline Pokemon game since... Gen 2 or 3? Either way, Majima seems like the best choice here regardless.

Deadpool… partially is just a case of being a kinda Wolverine vs Raiden 2 (and because of his personality and sword skills (and the fact that his blades can have an energy field that lets him cut through stronger foes like the murasama can) I like him more than Sabretooth for that).

Majima is because of their relationships as rivals to the protagonist who while trying to kill them also want to see their best, as well as their thrill for battle, and the fact that blade mode vs mad dog style would go really hard.

Nemona, pretty much is just also a rival who wants to see their opponents best (but this time they’re both also Latino/a) and I do also kinda like mu’s where both characters have really different fighting styles.

Also, considering how long it takes Wade to regrow limbs (like his best time is several minutes, which is a long time when you both have near lightspeed capabilities) his healing factor ain’t a big factor in the debate.

Kiryu, 100%, though he would most likely lose though, my favorite Jetstream Sam matchup would probably be Baiken though.

If anyone’s wondering what MU out of these three I think takes what category for Matchups I’ll give my thoughts on them.

Connections: Majima

Fight potential: Majima

Dialogue: threeway tie

Music: Majima (Nemona’s theme is peak but I think Yakuza music blends better with Metal Gear than Pokémon’s does)

Debate: Deadpool (at least, with where I place them Majima gets stomped while Nemona stomps (I buy legendary scaling) while Deadpool is honestly rather close)

Legacy: Deadpool? (When considering one of the reasons it exists is being a legacy to Wolverine vs Raiden)

Contrast: Deadpool or Nemona (good guy vs bad guy, that’s all I got)

I will say, a lot of these are barely won and could honestly go to the others.
