Not even a contest

SpongeBob absolutely body-slams Gumball. He outstats heavily with some of his weaker feats, is way more haxed, and resists all of Gumball's abilities which he doesn't even use in-character unlike SpongeBob.

I don't understand why people see this as Spongebob's best MU, tying with Chowder. Even Gumball's infamous "outlier," he's still outmatched.

For the record, I still see this match as close. I just gave it to SpongeBoy me Bob because of more combat experience.

Close? I'm curious...What makes you justify it as close?

I'm not sure if you heard, but I'm that guy that doesn't see gag feats as legit, and that also leads to me treating cartoons way more seriously than they probably should be, since it also leads me to deduce how Spongebob's feats relate to the plot at hand. That leads to me seeing Spongebob at around Town Level and Hypersonic, which is practically identical to the generally accepted Stat combo Gumball has, and I do just accept those stats since I haven't seen the show anywhere near as frequently.

That's generally a hated way to look at things, since it ignores his higher end feats like him unraveling the string theory that withheld the universe at a centillion times the speed of light, and even if I did accept that, Gumball should probably be lower with similar logic, but it's just the way I look at things, and I tend to stonewall this thought of mine.

You can say how wrong and stupid this thought process is all you like.
