Again those are just gags to do the people laugh and his planet and galaxy feats outnumbers all of that inconsistencies
Not really, in some episodes, Spongebob's embarrassingly low lifting strength is integral to the plot, like in Musclebob Buffpants and Larry's Gym, whereas feats like him being able to rotate the planet in Home Sweet Pineapple or creating a space-like realm in Truth or Square are meant to be absurd gags that are meant to have people laugh and not be taken seriously.
Generally, my line on whether Gags are legit, are if they are integral to the plot or not, not just consistent. That is part of the reason as to why I believe in Town Level Spongebob. One of those Baker Bomb explosions was what lead to the plate being clean in the Krusty Plate, and the entire point of the episode was for Spongebob to get rid of one tough stain.
While I'm still here, the only two feats I've seen that could equate to Popeye being Universal, are the times he broke the film he was on, and when he wasn't phased by existence being erased. Both of which I equate more to abilities than physicality.
Those feats have consistence tho and those low LS moments were for laugh stills plus thpse aremt really abilities when he destroyed the film of his universe itself and he stomped the one destroyed reality who survived it too
Wasn't Spongebob unraveling all of existence or creating three galaxies in the kitchen played for laughs too?
Even if so, SpongeBob has more of those Op feats than the weak gags
Judging by that, then there's probably not that many feats Spongebob has in the first place. There's One Universal one, One Multi-Galactic one, One Galactic one and one Multi Solar System one... Then again, I am the guy making a list of every single feat I could find for him, so...
Actually the MSS one can go to galaxy as it had a part of the galaxy
Okay.
I still don't count them as legit, seeing as how using gag feats implies that there is no plot in Spongebob, and the episodes certainly do have plots and feats in them that pertain to them, whereas for a skit based show like Animaniacs or a parody series like Bobobo has an excuse in that regard.
(Not saying I do or don't buy into gag feats there though.)
Trivia: I was originally going to say "Legit or Bullshit", but apparently that latter word is offensive in VS Debating.
What do you think?
